Alpaca's

Our Story

Once upon a time we were browsing the internet looking for info on miniture llamas and we came across some web sites on alpacas. Well after we did some research we located a farm near us and went for a visit. Well that was it for us....we were hooked. Each animals has its own playful personality that you can't help but adore.

After that farm visit we searced around for the right animal and after a few months we found him. We talked with the breeder (who was very helpful and new her stuff)and than after several emails we took a three our trip to Ohio to visit the breeders farm. The Cria Barn at Cranberry Creek owned by Theresa Birkemeier, is located in ottawa ohio. Once we got there we went right to the barn to look at the animals. One of the females came up to us right away. She was unzipping my mothers coat and untieing her shoes and giving all of us butterfly kisses on the cheeek to try and get attention. If I could of I would of taken her home in a heartbeat. But after watching the other animals and asking about 100 questons we choose a young male by the nme of skeeter. He was absolutly adorable!! We decided to wait to bring home skeeter so that he could be sheered and so we could make our barn more comfortable for him so he was brought home on April 23.

My Mother was so taken by these animals she is working on purchasing more to start her own herd. We encourage everyone to visit with a alpaca farm near you..it will be well worth your time!
