THE CHRISTMAS STORY
This time of year we celebrate
The birth of Mary's little lamb
Tho' born in a lowly stable
He is the great I am
No room was made for Him
By the keeper of the Inn
He did not know the impact
This birth would have on men
He was called the Lamb of God
With a fitting manger bed
Although He is the King of Kings
This truth had not been shed
The Shepherd's in the field
Watching over little lambs
Recalled just what the Prophets said
'This Baby's more than man'
Angels sang and trumpets sound
Announcing He was here
But folks who were not expecting Him
Seemed to turn on a deaf ear
Nonetheless the Baby grew
Soon became a man
The Son of God from glory
No longer Mary's little Lamb
