(The Swimming Party)
Thought I'd better let you know
Getting ready, here I come
Though you did not invite me
I wanna have some fun
I know you have this secret
You've been keeping from me
You'll be sorry when I get there
You just wait and see
I could hardly believe it
But you know that I'm no fool
You're having a swimming party
In a brand new swimming pool
I have got a stop to make
Before I arrive
I need a nice new swimming suit
That won't cover too much hide
You know that I'm good lookin'
'Tho I'm not one to brag
I want the kind of swimming suit
That won't let nothing sag
Although I never learned to swim
Don't worry none at all
I'm gonna learn to swim today
And I plan to have a ball
Now clear the diving board
I'm gonna take a dive
I'll run right off the end of it
And hope that I survive
Love, Mother
