Just a note to let you know
I arrived safely home
I really did enjoy the trip
And didn't travel it alone
I was at the banks of Jordan
Shifting sand beneath my feet
The sea weeds had entangled me
And the tide was getting deep
I cried out 'Blessed Savior,
How long, my Lord how long,
Will it take to make this final mile
That will lead me safely home?'
Then walking on the water
With His eyes fixed upon me
He lifted me up above the tide
Carried me into eternity
I'm on the other side now
Where the light will never dim
No storm clouds ever hang above
And I'm at home with Him
So peaceful and so beautiful
Here on the other side
I had a good trip on my way
With Jesus as my guide
