THE LAKE
Down by the lake where my love and I stroll is a paradise indeed, a story untold.
Who should know but only we two
The tale of two lives torn all askew
'Tis only this place we can share, just we two, a kiss and a hug, an hour or two
Soft words we can share, sweet sighs full of love forever doomed, denied our true love
For as long as we breathe this time we share known only to us, our sorrow to bear.
