TIME CHANGES THINGS
(I Got A Scooter)

Now time is still a flying by
Just like I said before
these old bones that seemed to talk
don't want to go no more

    I'm tired of just complaining
Must figure something out
To help me get some comfort
And help me to run about

  After giving it much thought
Of just what I should do
I saw an ad in the paper
'This scooter's right for you'

I said to myself 'I'll check it out'
This new fangled motor with wheels
'Is it as good as they say
or will it get me killed?'

I need way to get around
Can't drive a car no more
Just something on wheels, I need
to go places, where I went before

The salesman told me on the phone
It ran by battery and not gas
Since I hate sitting around at home
I said 'bring it to me fast!'

Soon he came with my scooter
He brought it to my door
Oh how excited I was then
I'll be moving around once more

Time for testing was now here
now that the man was gone
I got on my new little scooter
and hurriedly turned it on

  Across the room I shot
and I landed up side the wall
'Ohmigosh' I said to myself
This is worse than a fall!

Now I have two broken legs
Can't help myself at all
Was I smart to buy that scooter,
or take a chance that I'd not fall?

  I'm laying here a- thinking
Would be nice to have a friend
To pull me in a little red wagon
So I could get moving again
