Elrood Sector
Elrood
|
Current Function:
The capital city of Elrood, Elrooden, has a large spaceport and is a major stopping point on inter-system shipping routes. It is the primary resupply station of the New Imperial Federation and the site of the NIF embassy for diplomatic functions. It is also an important commerical centre and the home of three minor shipbuilding companies which now produces smaller ships for the NIF Navy.
NIF-Developed History:
The Super Star Destroyer Nemesis arrived at Elrood while it was under attack by New Republic and pirate forces in operation C2M1, during the hardest winter of the planet's history. The enemy's mission was to capture a database of information on Imperial technology and protocol. New Imperial Federation forces were able to defend the planet from the Rebels. Not a single enemy escaped with what they came for.
Official Star Wars History:
This planet is the capital world of its sector, and is a commercial colony with a reputable starship yard. It is located opposite the Outer Rim Territories, in the Metharian Nebula Territories. The planet is a temperate world of cities and plains. Its average day lasts 28 standard hours, and its year lasts 364 local days. Elrood was orbited by a pair of moons, Sharene and Lodos. It was first settled many thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin, and was named for the governor who funded the colony ships. The capital city, Elrooden, is home to the famous Elrood Bazaar.

Fef
|
Current Function:
Fef has a low population of realtively unintelligent species called the Fefze. There are few facilities on the planet of any use. Fef will be used as the site of mining colonies to provide natural resources and raw materials, especially agricultural produce.
NIF-Developed History:
NIF followed a lead to the pirates in the sector to eradicate them as a threat to the new Empire. The operation was named C2M2. The track lead to a hidden base and a pirate fleet in the asteroid belt in the Fef system. Nif was successful and the Fefze agreed to join when the pirates posed no more threat to them.
Official Star Wars History:
A moderately large planet orbiting an orange-yellow star, Fef is the homeworld of the insectoid Fefze. Fef's thick atmosphere and hot temperature contribute to its teeming variety of lifeforms, all of whom have relatively short life-spans. The Fefze, who form intelligent group-minds (called "swarms") of 10 to 100 individuals, are able to digest all forms of carbon-based organic matter. Due to the abundance of food available to the Fefze and their lack of dexterous manipulative appendages, they have not developed technological skills and Fef has few exports. Fef does receive tourists who come to view the famed Fefze dance swarms.

Altarrn
|
Current Function:
Altarrn is an unremarkable temperate planet covered with vast, dense forests. It has a small commercial value from the fur and pet market. An Imperial base and a minor starport provides access and control of the planet. The only facility of value on Altarrn is a captured secret small arms laboratory which now serves NIF. The equipment and data records retrieved here will eventually be moved to a NIF research vessel. The resource industry will be expanded to include woods and mineral in time. Many outlaws from the galaxy retires to a quiet lifestyle on Altarrn. NIF deems it not worth the effort to dig up these criminals and bring them to trial for past crimes. In fact, outlaws from the NR are granted asylum here under certain conditions.
NIF-Developed History:
Altarrn was captured during a SM operation. There was minor resistance from some of the more criminal elements. Unexpectedly, a rebel base was uncoverered and an NR Corellian Corvette was captured in orbit. Imperial troops sized the base with speed and accuracy even without support of armoured units, due to their inefficiency in the dense forests. There they discovered a secret research laboratory below ground. A small team lead by Dark Jedi Ace Roscoe entered and disabled the facility.
Official Star Wars History:
The homeworld of a rare animal described as "spidery night gliders." These animals are considered premium pets and are sold at Sabodor's pet shop on Etti IV.

Sedri
|
Current Function:
An Imperial base now guards Sedri. SedriMotors Limited now devlops repulsorcraft and aquatic vessels for the NIF, and taxation and tariffs gives the NIF a healthy income. Gravitic research continues in order to refine Imperial gravity-well generators. Sedri will also serve as a major recreational centre for Imperial personnel on shore leave. The natives rarely mix with offworlders, preferring to keep to their underwater cities.
NIF-Developed History:
Former Imperial Moff Rakin Thun of Sedri displayed interest in joining the NIF with his fleet. Unfortunately, the meeting was sabotaged and Imperial personnel captured. The Moff's fleet opened fire on NIF ships, thinking we were behind the disaster. They were soon defeated with minimal damage, and NIF troops converged on the islands of Sedri to capture it. Eventually Dark Jedi discovered that it was in fact a radical group, the 'Glorious Syndicate' that was behind the bombing. The syndicate was defeated, our personnel was retrieved, and Sedri was secured. Moff Thun was never found.
Official Star Wars History:
Covered by warm shallow seas, Sedri (in the system of the same name) is home to both the aquatic Sedrians and a communal intelligence of tiny polyps known as Golden Sun. Golden Sun is attuned to the Force and provides power, healing, and other necessities to the Sedrians, who worship Golden Sun as the center of their society. Golden Sun's use of the Force also creates massive gravity readings, causing problems for hyperspace navigation near the system. The peaceful Sedrians have constructed underwater cities (the largest is Fitsay) and have appointed a High Priest to safeguard the cave in which Golden Sun lives. The Empire came to Sedri to research a possible artificial gravity well generator and constructed an Imperial garrison. A group of Rebels infiltrated the garrison, studied the Imperial's aquatic equipment, and discussed strategy and techniques with the Sedrians. This information resulted in the formation of the Rebel Sea Commandos, who later saw action on Calamari fighting the Emperor's World Devastators. The SedriMotors corporation, based on Sedri, has recently produced the Amphibion combat speeder for New Republic use.

Valrar
|
Current Function:
The local Imperial Base is the well-secured location for Imperial control of the planet Valrar. It is the site of an advanced, fully automated AT vehicle factory which will continue to repair and produce walkers for the Imperial Army. The small spaceport will be expanded to accommodate the increase in porduction and for keeping a detatchment of starfighters for system protection.
Unfortunately, there is still a band of Noghri on the loose on the planet. Intel expects them to launch raids on Imperial troops.
NIF-Developed History:
After an exchange between the NIF task force and the ion defence cannon, Imperial troops were landed to begin the assault. Intel agents was already in place to take out key personnel and defences. Once the ion cannon was destroyed, the base perimeter defences soon followed. Imperial troops recaptured and secured the Imperial base after a short but bloody storming.
Official Star Wars History:
Located in the Glythe sector, Valrar is the location of an Imperial base. Khabarakh the Noghri was scheduled to be reassigned to this base following his return from the failed commando mission on Kashyyyk. Valrar was also the reported port of origin for Talon Karrde's ship when his group visited Bilbringi, and was the destination of the Star Galleon Draklor after unloading Joruus C'baoth on Wayland.

Vortex
|
Current Function:
Vortex supplies the Imperial army with small arms and income taxes from export and tourism.
NIF-Developed History:
A small NIF task force oblittered the outdated NR fleet resistance with ease, impressing the natives enough to switch loyalties. The Vors doesn't hold emotional loyalites for the NR, and will support the NIF as long as we can aptly defend their planet.
Official Star Wars History:
Vortex, the homeworld of the hollow-boned, winged Vors, is a blue and gray planet with a sharp axial tilt causing sudden seasonal changes and severe windstorms. The Cathedral of Winds, the center of Vor civilization, is an immense glassy structure designed to produce tones when Vortex's wind currents pass over and through it. The Vors perform a beautiful concert of etherial music by opening and closing orifices in the building with their bodies. The Vors are an emotionless species, and tend to concentrate on larger goals rather than on individuals. They refused to perform their music for off-worlders during the reign of the Empire, and have only recently allowed New Republic and other dignitaries to attend these shows. All recording is prohibited, and only one concert is performed each year. The Vors inhabit underground dwellings during the storm season, which can be seen from above as small mounds arranged in rings in the purple, vermilion, and tan grasses of the plains. During a visit to Vortex by Admiral Ackbar and Leia Organa Solo, Ackbar's sabotaged B-wing crashed into and destroyed the centuries-old Cathedral of Winds and killed at least 358 Vors. A different, more streamlined Cathedral was then constructed by the Vors to replace the one destroyed in Ackbar's crash.

Merisee
|
Current Function:
Provides the NIF with highly skilled medical personnel, equipment, and facilities.
NIF-Developed History:
Merisee, formerly under the rule of Warlord Jerris, had opted to join the NIF, and leave his leadership behind. In response to this newfound support, an NIF task force was sent to secure the system. However...a large part of the task force's Navy was delayed by a Pirate Cartel's attack on another planet close by. During this delay, Warlord Jerris's fleet arrived in Merisee space and demanded the planet return to his control, or be forced to it. Merisee chose to stick with its previous decision, and battle broke out. What NIF Naval forces were present were thrown back by the larger, and more powerful Jerris fleet. Ground forces were trapped, and had to hold out until the rest of the NIF Navy could arrive. Upon arriving at Merisee...the NIF Naval forces made short work of the Warlord's fleet. Having lost air support...most of Jerris's ground troops were quickly defeated, or surrendered, and Merisee was officially made a part of the New Imperial Federation, along with it, the Merisee Grand Medical Facility, renowned for it's excellent medical capabilities.
Official Star Wars History:
This planet, the primary world in the Merisee System of the Elrood Sector, was known as the "breadbasket of the Elrood Sector" because its agricultural production provided foodstuffs to most of the sector. It was the homeworld of two races, the Meri and the Teltior, who had been separated from each other for many millennia until volcanic activity caused seismic shifts in the planet's surface. In a period known as "The Joining," a finger of mountains was formed between the two continents of the planet. This allowed the two races to finally encounter each other, leading to a series of civil wars. The fought for a thousand years before the New Republic located the planet, and the warring parties realized that their feud was miniscule compared to the rest of the galaxy. It enjoyed a free government even at the height of the New Order, and its enlightened leaders strived to keep it that way. The planet's beautiful plains and sweeping vistas hide a dark side to the planet: the Loag. The Loag are a band of mercenaries that survived being wiped out by the old Jedi Knights. The survivors fled to Merisee and hid, silently biding their time to gain revenge. Merisee was orbited by two moons, Tola and Meriso. The average day on Merisee lasts 24 standard hours, and its year lasts 315 local days.
