Farfin Sector
Firro
|
Current Function:
Firro was the first Core planet obtained by NIF. It is a densely populated temperate world with a well developed infrastructure. It adds many vital resources in population, commerce, industry and science to NIF.
NIF-Developed History:
Imperial military power were overwhelming when NIF came to this system. Diplomatic negotiations with the local governor and the New Republic ensued. With the aid of undercover operations and the effort of our diplomats lead by Grand Admiral Matt, the general populace soon swayed to favour the NIF, overcoming memories of atrocies committed by the Old Empire. The NR foolishly chose to fight when they were about to lose control of the system, and while they attempted dangerous suicidal tactics, they were promptly eliminated. Orbiting Firro is one of the most noticable displays of NIF power; The Firro Exchange, a huge orbital marketplace with tremendous activity. Billions of Credits change owner every day here. It provides a substantial addition to NIF coffers fueling the war effort.
Official Star Wars History:
Many deaths and atrocities were committed on Firro during its brutal subjugation by the Empire, and Lord Cuvir was installed as Imperial Governor of Firro. During a visit to a Firro relief station, Cuvir witnessed the skill of Imperial medical droid Too-Onebee and made the droid his personal physician. Too-Onebee has since joined the Alliance.

Bilbringi
|
Current Function:
Easily the most important NIF system so far, Bilbringi is home to the largest shipyard collection in the galaxy. While there is no main planet in the system, there are three major planetoids and thousands of smaller, mineral-rich asteroids. Bilbringi VII is the capital planetoid. As long as this system remains in NIF hands and we can support it with resources, the NIF navy will increase steadily.
NIF-Developed History:
Bilbringi was surprisingly underdefended by the NR when NIF decided to make a run for it. Only an insignificant task force provided cover. Nevertheless, it proved quite a challenge to defeat the system defences while capturing the shipdyards intact. Imperial forces showed their best this day. Bilbringi Shpiyards Inc. quickly replaced its board and while they still construct ships for sale, the NIF has an exclusive contract to support it's navy.
Official Star Wars History:
Located in the Bilbringi system, the Imperial Shipyards of Bilbringi are a mass of dockyard platforms, partially-built ships, and construction vehicles, and are defended by at least four Golan II battle stations. Floating shield generators line the approved approach vectors, preventing any stray ships from wandering into restricted areas. The shipyards, run by Bilbringi Control under the command of General Drost, drastically stepped up warship production during Grand Admiral Thrawn's offensive against the New Republic. During this period of construction the yards ran short of strategic metals, prompting an Imperial raid of Nkllon's Nomad City. Bilbringi was the site where twenty-two asteroids were fitted with cloaking devices for Thrawn's siege of Coruscant; la ter, an attack on the shipyards by the smugglers Mazzic and Ellor resulted in the demolition of a nearly-completed Star Destroyer. The New Republic attacked the Bilbringi shipyards after giving the false impression that Tangrene was their target, and ran into a carefully-prepared trap set by Thrawn. Help from a coalition of smugglers (who had planned to steal Bilbringi's CGT array to sell to the New Republic) allowed Ackbar's fleet to escape the trap and defeat Thrawn's forces.

Byss
|
Current Function:
Byss is a relatively sparesely populated planet for a Core world. It features no major industry, but is rich in minerals. The value of the world is mainly its strategic location, and the raw resources that are being mined, refined and shipped to the nearby shipyards of Bilbringi.
NIF-Developed History:
The NIF conducted a pre-emptive strike at Byss in retaliation from the New Republic's attack and ambush on Bilbringi. The small local fleet was caught unaware and a majority of the ships surrendered in the face of certain defeat. The planet Byss itself was well defended by several NR heavy regiments and tens of thousands of Abyssin warriors. However, they proved little trouble for the NIF with its total air superiority and heavy armour.
Official Star Wars History:
Byss, the homeworld of the one-eyed Abyssin, travels in an unusual figure-eight orbit between the binary stars of Byss and Abyss. Byss is a hot, arid planet, and temperatures reach their highest when the planet is orbiting directly between both stars, a time known as "the Burning." Most plant life on Byss utilize extensive taproots to extract underground water, while animals rely on scattered oases and their own water- storing capabilities. The nomadic, violent Abyssin lead primitive lives, engaging in tribal wars and tending to their flocks of cowlike gaunts. Byss is largely ignored in galactic trade, its one substantial export being the Abyssin themselves as slaves.

Khomm
|
Current Function:
The large population of Khomm gives a hefty tax income and a large draft base of soldiers for the NIF. It also provides advanced technology, especially in cloning. There are several vast underground cloning complexes that were developed by the defected NR senator. These facilites are now the NIF's main bases on the planet.
NIF-Developed History:
Defected New Republic senator Rasku Walecu was trying to establish his own little kingdom at Khomm by using the planets advanced cloning technology to create armies of clonetroopers. Agents were sent in to soften up the enemy which made the battle all the easier. The senator and the NR task force that was sent to destroy him, were both annihilated. The senator had also developed a superlaser defence by focusing the sun's light in a huge computer guided lense. This superlaser and the large NR reinforcement task force destroyed several NIF ships and damaged many others, but eventually, NIF was the victor. The ground battle proved equally fierce, but the Imperial Army was victorious yet again thanks to the bravery of the individual trooper and by cunning tactical decisions by the commanders.
Official Star Wars History:
Khomm is a pale green world lying very close to the Deep Galactic Core. It is moonless, has no unusual geologic features, no axial tilt, and a regular orbit. A thousand years ago, the planet's alien inhabitants decided that their society had reached perfection. They froze their bureaucratic culture at this "perfect" level, and began producing clones of previous generations. The genderless clones of Khomm like to keep to their own affairs, rarely leaving their planet and keeping the same roles and schedules from generation to generation. The planet remained neutral during the Galactic Civil War. Khomm's cities are laid out in perfect gridworks, with almost all buildings and residences looking identical and made from the same green- veined rock. Large cloning facilities in each city hold a record of all the major family lines. Dorsk 81 (the eighty-first clone of Dorsk) surprisingly showed unexpected Force aptitude and became one of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy students seven years after the Battle of Endor. The following year, Dorsk 81 returned to Khomm, and the planet was devastated by Colonel Cronus and his fleet of Victory-class Star Destroyers.

Dorin
|
Current Function:
An industry planet, left mostly to the native government, but which supplies the NIF war machine.
NIF-Developed History:
Dorin was traded for Dantooine in an agreement following the peace treaty between the NIF
and the Imperial Remnant.
Official Star Wars History:
Dorin
this planet, located in the Expansion Region, was the homeworld of the Kel Dor race (also
called Dorin). The planet's atmosphere was very unusual in that it supported life with just
the barest traces of oxygen. This required that Kel Dor travelling away from Dorin must
wear anti-ox masks to filter out oxygen. Much of the planet's industry was based on
technology. Its location was unusual in that it was situated between two blackholes,
which meant that travel to and from Dorin was quite dangerous. Thus, Dorin and the Kel Dor
were considered mysterious and menacing by many of thegalaxy's inhabitants.

Kinyen
|
Current Function:
Kinyen is an average Core world with a large population and tax base. The secret facility on the planet contributes to the R&D department, especially when developing the top-secret HIMS device, stolen from the rebels.
NIF-Developed History:
After a lengthy search, ISIS agents undercovered a secret research facility on the planet and recovered the data. Unfortunately, it also turned out to be a set trap for the NIF, one that was barely avoided. After a major battle which turned out favourable for the Imperials, the NR task force tried to destroy the facility, hence demonstrating it's importance. They failed utterly in spite of extreme efforts. The NR task force was oblitterated with only a handful of small ships escaping. The Gran surrendered without resistance and remains peaceful NIF citizens after the demonstration of Imperial strength against the NR attack upon their planet.
Official Star Wars History:
Kinyen is the homeworld of the three-eyes humanoid race of the Gran. The home planet of the highly social, three-eyed aliens known as Gran. A common sight on the world are gently waving fields of goatgrass. Ree-Yees, one of Jabba the Hutt's courtiers, was exiled from Kinyen after committing the highly unusual (for Gran) crime of murder. The Gran have tan skin. Their eyes are set out away from their heads on thick stalks, and they have large ears. Their eyes are adapted for seeing into the visible spectrum as well as the infrared spectrum. They evolved from a herbivorous species, and have two stomachs to digest their food. The females have three breasts, which they use to suckle their young. In general, Gran are peaceful and hospitable, and no conflicts have been noted in their 10,000 year history. They are strongly attached to their families and their race in general; all Gran mate for life, with the survivor usually dying of a broken heart shortly after its mate's death. Their infrared sight allows the Gran to detect their companion's emotional state. The Gran race was hesitant to join the galactic community of the Old Republic, fearing that they would become diluted by huge distances. They remained isolated from the Republic, for the most part, and the Old Republic respected their wishes. After the birth of the New Order, the Gran organized peaceful protests against Palpatine's rule. However, they were quickly subjugated by the Empire. On their own, the Gran developed space travel, and have developed a healthy trade route with the Herglics.

Rishi
|
Current Function:
Rishi is an unremarkable planet with little industry, but rich in minerals and resources. It will serve as a base industry planet for refining materials and shipping them off-world for construction.
NIF-Developed History:
NIF came to Rishi to capture the infamous leader of the smuggler's alliance, Talon Kaarde. Unfortunately, the New Republic, Warlord Teradoc, and Gorba the Hutt'd forces were also all assembled in the system for the same reason. To make it even more difficult, Jedi Knight Mara Jade showed up in an attempt to save Karrde. Eventually, Karrde was captured and the forces of the NR and Terdoc defeated by the combined effort of the NIF First Fleet, NIF First Allied Fleet, and the Redemption Fleet from the Imperial Remnant, and the system was swiftly captured. Karrde was forced to serve NIF with the help of a modified slave circuit.
Official Star Wars History:
Rishi is the third world orbiting the star Rish, a backwater world where Talon Kaarde and his muggling group briefly used a Rishi city-vale as a hideout from the Empire following the discovery and infiltration of his base on Myrkr. This city-vale measures approximately 150 kilometers east to west and only a few kilometers north-south, and has sparsely-populated industrial areas to the north. While on her way to the Number Three dump on 412 Wozwashi Street, Mara Jade was ambushed by a bounty hunter. It is the home of the religious sect called the H'kig as well as the native avian race known as the Rishii. The natives will allow offworlders to visit the planet, as long as they don't break the religious laws. The planet has a few marketble metal ores which are mined by the native humans. The planet is the third from Rish, and has an orbit of about 268 local days, each of which lasts 20 standard hours. The only places on Rishi habitable by its colonists are the humid, congested valleys, though the native avian Rishii inhabit the high mountains surrounding the city-vales. The conservative colonists live in white stone buildings and forbid the use of repulsorlift vehicles on the streets in the morning. Animal life on Rishi includes the dangerous Maungurs in the planet's warm polar regions, who have flexible "limb-tails" as forelimbs and feature prominently in Rishii legends and stories. The primary food of the Maungur are the leaf-eating khi'rs.
