I Will Stand
I will stand
as I close my eyes
to all of the hatred that I have seen
as I bow my head in prayer
because I know that the Lord is King of all kings.
I will stand
because I believe in my heart
that He rose on that glorious third day
with all power and glory
and that is why I pray.
I will stand
and know that His love is true
because when times seem to get rough
He always pulls me through.
I will stand
because I hear His voice
and as I listen with my mind and heart
my soul begins to rejoice.
I will stand
because there is comfort in His arms
just trust in the Lord
because He will carry you through the storms.
I will stand
because my soul is alive
and that is why I speak these words
because in Him I will survive.
I will stand
because Jesus loves us with an unconditional love
and as I open up my eyes
I stare at the beautiful clouds up above.
I will stand
so that others may believe
that Jesus Christ is calling His children
all you have to do is receive.
I will stand
because I am a child of God
seeking His kingdom with faith in my heart
because on judgment day
those who do not know Him will have to depart.
I will stand
so the husband can meet His wife
because that is when our Lord and Savior
will grant us eternal life.
