On The Cross
On the cross
You gave Your life so that I may live
and that is why I praise Your name
because to You my soul I give.
On the cross
Your blood was shed for the remission of our sins
and as I close my eyes
I can picture that love that was shown within.
On the cross
You cried out to Your Father
after You endured through it all
and that is why I praise Thee
because Your love is here when I call.
On the cross
Your side was pierced
and the water and blood fell to the ground
and to the soldiers surprise
a new love was found.
On the cross
You have shown us how to love and to care
and I just wanted to say thank You
because You have always been there.
