Waiting For You
How can a sincere heart
follow in the footsteps of Your beloved Son
as I reminisce way back
on the things that I have done.
I sometimes feel
that my heart has went astray,
but as I pick up my bible
I begin to pray.
As I bow my head
I can not help but wonder
how life in Your presence would be,
but as I think back on the sins that I have committed
I somehow have this image in my mind
that You would not even except a person like me.
I know in my heart
that Your love is so powerful and so true
as I read the scriptures in the bible
asking for guidance from within
that Your love will shine through.
