May the lord and the Lady bless.
Casting a Circle
From the book "Power of the Witch"
by Laurie Cabot
1. Remove all animals and small children
from the area and any furniture that you do not want to be inside
your circle.
2. Set up your altar before you cast the
circle.
3. Locate magnetic north with a compass and, holding
the wand out from your body, go into alpha and see the wand's aura
extending out from it, especially at the tip.
4. Visualize
the tip of the wand creating a circle of light and energy, like a
lazer, as you walk clockwise three times around the area. The
circumference drawn by the wand's tip will be the edge of your
circle. Project white light out from the wand to create the circle
of energy. In your mind see the circle as geometrically perfect and
say to yourself that it is.
5. Walk the circle the second
time around and say out loud, "I cast this circle to protect me / us
from all negative and positive energies and forces on any level that
may come to do me / us harm. I draw into this circle only the
energies and forces that are right for me / us and the most correct
for my / our work."
6. Walk the circle the third time and
say, "I create sacred space. So mote it be."
7. Invoke the
four directions and the energies of the elements, angels, and powers
that reside in them by using the athame, wand, sword, or index
finger to draw an invoking pentagram as you face each direction. Use
a ritual spell of invocation or one you write for yourself.
8. To open a circle hold the wand out over the circumference
of the circle and, beginning at magnetic north, walk once around the
circle counterclockwise as you say, "I send this circle into the
cosmos to do my / our bidding. The circle is undone but not broken."
Calling of the Quarters
Face East: I summon the
forces of Air. Blow out the old and bring in the new on your winds
of change.
Face South: I summon the forces of Fire. Burn
away my / our regrets and shine your gentle rays upon me / us for
growth.
Face West: I summon the forces of Water. Cleanse me
/ us of all negativity and purify my / our thoughts.
Face
North: I summon the forces of Earth. Let your renewing strength bury
all ills and open new paths before me / us.
Invocation
to the Goddess
From the book "Wicca" by Scott Cunningham
Gracious Goddess,
You who are the Queen of the Gods,
the Lamp of Night,
the Creator of all that is wild and free;
Mother of woman and man;
Lover of the Horned God and
protectress of all the Wicca:
Descend, I pray,
with Your
Lunar ray of power
upon my circle here!
Invocation
to the God
From the book "Wicca" by Scott Cunningham
Blazing God,
You who are the King of the Gods,
Lord
of the Sun,
Master of all that is wild and free;
Lover of
the Moon Goddess and protector of all the Wicca:
Descend, I
pray,
with Your Solar ray of power
upon my circle here!
Grounding Your Energy
From the book "To Ride a
Silver Broomstick" by Silver RavenWolf
After you have
performed a ritual, you should ground your energy. You may ground
your energy in two ways. Either place your hands physically upon the
ground and feel the energy drain into Earth Mother, or imagine your
energy as a force field around you, and quietly step back out of the
skeleton of energy and watch it collapse in upon itself and melt
into the ground.
The Simple Feast
From the book
"Wicca" by Scott Cunningham
Hold up a cup of wine or some
other liquid between your hands to the sky, and say:
Gracious Goddess of Abundance,
Bless this wine and
infuse it with Your love.
In Your names, Mother Goddess and
Father God,
I bless this wine (or brew, juice, etc.).
Hold up a plate of cakes (bread, biscuits) with both hands
to the sky and say:
Powerful God of the Harvest,
Bless
these cakes and infuse them with Your love.
In Your names,
Mother Goddess and Father God,
I bless these cakes (or this
bread).
Thank the Goddess and the God and release
the circle. It is done.
We do not own the
Earth; we live on it by the love and grace of Our Mother. We do not
own the plants, animals or stones; they are, as we are, the children
of the Great Mother. They are our brothers and sisters on whom we
are all dependent for life, shelter, and sustenance; and they
deserve our love and respect in return. Above all else, we choose to
live in harmony and balance.

To Invoke Sweet Thoughts in Another
Originally from "The
Witch's Spellcraft" by Tarostar
I didn't like how this spell
was written originally, so I personalized it. The original
ingredients called for water and sugar. I changed it to honey. It's
all natural and honey is associated with love anyway. I omitted the
licorice root and damiana leaves simply because unless you are a
Witch with a full herb cabinet, you will not usually have this stuff
lying around your house. :)
I also omitted the part that
mentions you should take the lock of hair from your loved one's head
while they sleep. It's always best to ask for someone's permission
BEFORE casting a spell on them. If you do not, you are committing
psychological rape. Yes, if you tell a person about a spell, it
would still work. Just like when a person has cancer and goes to a
healer. That person already knows what the healer is trying to
accomplish and in many cases, cancer is no longer present in that
person. So, make sure to always tell the person before doing a
spell. Now then... here it is:
If you are in love with
someone (and ONLY if they love you back) ask them for permission
before doing this spell. Tell them that it is to invoke sweet
thoughts of you when they are absent from you.
You will
need:
* A clean bottle with a tight cap
* A used
popcicle stick
(consume the popcicle "any flavor", save the
stick)
* Honey
* Red Thread
* A small lock of your loved
one's hair
After you are done eating your popcicle, place it in
the bottle. Take the lock of hair and tie the red thread around it.
Place that in the bottle and fill it with honey. Cap the bottle
tightly.
Every time you turn the bottle upside down, your
loved one will have sweet thoughts of you. :)
btw, incase
you're wondering what a popcicle stick has to do with anything, I'll
explain. You're putting a little part of yourself in the bottle.
Your lips and tongue so to speak. Besides, popcicles are pretty good
and eating it will make the spell more fun. That's the way it should
be. :)
Love Tea Spell
From the book "Love
Magic" by Laurie Cabot
A love tea spell can be made on
Monday, Tuesday, or Friday during a waxing moon.
You
Will Need:
3 candles (red, pink, and green)
4 caraway
seeds
4 fennel seeds
1 tea bag
3 rose hips
5 edible
rose petals.
If you cannot get rose petals,
buy rose water
or dried roses from a herbal shop.
(Be sure that the roses have
not been sprayed
with pesticides and are safe for brewing into a
tea).
Light the candles and place them on the stove near the
teapot. Bring two cups of springwater to a slow simmer. Add the
other ingredients with the tea. As the love tea is steeping, pass
your hands over the steam three times, and concentrate on the
feelings of love. Pour a cup and sit in a cheerful place. If you
have a photo of an intended lover, place it where you can see it as
you drink the tea. Recite this spell:
"I lift this cup
to my lips,
I drink it slow with tiny sips,
Rose, tea,
caraway,
And fennel cause love to stay."
