The Sobieski-Stuart Connection to Henry IV of France.:
GENERATION ONE:
Henry IV of France (1553-1610) was born at Pau in Bearn on December 14, 1553. He was the son of Antoine de Bourbon, Duke of Vendome, and Jeanne d'Albret (d. June 1572). Henry married (1) Margarite, the sister of Charles IX on August 18, 1577. (2) Marie Medici (d. 1642) Henry was assassinated by Francois Ravaillac, in Paris, on May 14, 1610.
GENERATION TWO:
Louis XIII (1601-1643) was the son of Henry IV and Marie Medici. Louis married Ann Marie, who was the daughter of Felipe III of Spain.
Henrietta Marie(1610-1669) married Charles I of England(1600-1649)who reigned from 1625-1649.
Elizabeth married Felipe IV of Spain.
GENERATION THREE
Louis XIV (1638-1715) married (1) Maria Teresa of Spain
Philippe (d 1701) of Orleans married (2) Lisellote (d. 1722) the daughter of Karl Ludwig of Rhein.
Charles II (1630-1685) reigned from 1660-1685. He married Catarina of Portugal,
James II(1633-1701) was born in St. James Palace, London, on Ocotber 14, 1633 to Charles I of Scotland/England and Henrietta Maria. He became the Duke of York in January 1634. He was crowned February 7, 1685. He died September 5, 1701, at St. Germain. Charles married (1)Anne (d.1671), the daughter of Edward Hyde. (2) Mary of Modena
GENERATION FOUR
Dauphin Louis (d. 1711) married (1) Maria Anna (d. 1690), duaghter of Ferdinand of Bayern.
Mary Stewart (1662-1694)(Queen Mary II) married William II (d. 1702) . William and Mary reigned jointly from 1689-1702) They had no issue.
Anne Stewart (1665-1714)(Queen Anne) married George of Denmark (d. 1708). Their children: William, Mary, Anne, Mary and 13 other stillbirths/miscarriages. Anne reigned from 1702-1707/14, and was the last monarch of an independant Scotland.
James III(1688-1766) married Maria Clementina Sobieska.
GENERATION FIVE
Louis, Duke of Burgundy (d. 1712) married Marie Adelaide (d. 1712), the daughter of Vittorio Amedeo II/Sardegna.
Philippe (Felipe V) of Spain.
Charles Stuart "Bonnie Prince Charlie" (1720-1788) married Louise of Stolberg.
Henry Stuart(1725-1807) .
Most experts agree that there are no legitimate heirs from the Sobieski-Stuart line.
GENERATION SIX
Louis XV (1701-1774) married Maria Leszczynski (d. 1768), daughter of Stanislaw I of Poland. Louis XV reigned from 1715-1774.
GENERATION SEVEN
Louis (d. 1765) married (2) Josepha (d. 1767), the daughter of August III of Poland and Maria Josepha (d. 1757), who was daughter of Josef I. Josepha's sister, Marie Amalia (d. 1760) married Carlos III of Spain.
GENERATION EIGHT
Louis XVI (reigned 1792-1793) married Marie Antoinette of Austria, daughter of Maria Teresa (reigned 1749-1780) and Franz I of Lorraine (reigned 1745-1765). Marie and Louis were executed via the guillotine in 1793 during the French Revolution.
GENERATION NINE
Louis XVII (reigned from 1793-1795).
