Photo GalleryI graduated from Onekama High School on June 1, 2001. My whole family chipped in to make sure I still had a birthday cake for my birthday! My mom baked the cake, my younger brother decorated it, and my dad helped me eat it! LOL! Dan and I went to Onekama Consolidated Schools together since kindergarten. This was our last stunt together in high school. Dan only cheered his senior year because I talked him into it. I've cheered since 5th grade. This particular stunt is known as the "chair". Little did I know, that within a month I would make the GVSU All-Girl Cheer Team! This is what happens when you get tossed off of a full truck of hay bales! My younger brother was on the back with me too and I went to grab him once the bales started to slide off, but I ended up hanging off the side of the truck instead. It turned out that everyone was okay, but I sure had a sore leg for about 6 months after that. The big question after this accident was if the soreness and bruising would be gone in time for the upcoming UCA Collegiate Cheer camp in Wisconsin. As an incoming GVSU Freshman on the team, I wanted to be in top form and was scared that my leg would not be healed in time. Even being a GVSU All-Girl Cheerleader can make you famous enough for people to ask you for an autograph! While others spent spring break in all the warm areas of the world, I however decided to save money and stay home...But was that a good idea afterall? LOL! When the spring break blizzard subsided, I did find some ways to have some fun by playing in the snow! Pictured with me is our beagle, Diamond Back. He enjoyed the snow chair just as much as I did! This is one of my senior pictures with my kitty "Clarice". She is the Queen of the house! She's been through alot and has even lived through being in a running car engine. She loves spaghetti, but most of all, Meow Mix with a side of canned kitty food. I don't know her real age because she was a stray kitty from Oleson's Food Store, but I've had her for over 14 years now! |
