45th Reunion

Our 45th Anniversary Reunion was held on September 8, 2007. Over 80 people joined the party at Slapsticks on Gratiot in Clinton Township. As we found in the past, Slapsticks' party area is a great place to mingle with classmates, refreshing old memories and hearing about current activities. Yes, talking, talking, and talking are still the favorite activities at Reunion parties! And yes, we did take time out to enjoy the excellent food and drink that Slapsticks provides. Many Thanks to Karen (Lieder) Collins and her husband, Mike (owners of Slapsticks), for their wonderful hospitality! We even got Karen's homemade cookies and brownies.

We also did some trans-continental mingling with Bill Karle, who "attended' the Reunion via a real-time internet video link to Sri Lanka. (For those who remember 1962 geography, this used to be called Ceylon, off the coast of India.) Bill is working as a consultant in Sri Lanka.

SAH decorations were there to remind us of our roots, including some picture boards and a commemoration of our classmates who have passed on before us. As a special memory treat, our waitress modeled a genuine SAH girl's uniform! We also were able to bring the Class to Order (sort of) for a program including Classmates' Thoughts and Words of Wisdom. But the program highlight was a visit from Sister Deranged, who only gets released from the retirement convent basement for special occasions. Wow, she really has a long memory about us!!

Many Thanks to all those who contributed to the success of our 45th Reunion. It was great!

Class enthusiasm is so high that 15 people are already on the list to work on our 50th Reunion. Of course, there is always room for more. So if you would like to help out, please let us know.

See you next time!
