I don’t know if he named himself after the whale, the novel, or the Led Zeppelin song, but in any case it’s appropriate.
Like the whale, he’s a white vegetarian from New England.
Like the novel, he’s dreary and interminable.
Like the song, he’s pointless and self-indulgent.
Seriously, though, how does Mr. Even-Animals-Have-Rights justify taking the hook from someone else’s song, putting a drumbeat under it, and claiming it as his own composition?
