...of the month

So, we went to this Phantom Planet concert earlier this spring. While Jenny was drooling at the scrawnyliciousness of Sam (see October), Becca had noticed DARREN ROBINSON, one of the guitarists, had removed his sweatshirt, revealing his hidden chiseledness. Other than the great music, the presence of the band, and meeting Jacques (another story to be shared later), it was a highlight of the evening. Then again, we did have to leave early and miss the set of another awesome band, Guided By Voices, but it was a schoolnight...

Recently, ANDERSON COOPER was named People Magazine's sexiest newscaster. Well, DUH, I knew that already. You may remember Anderson from such gigs as Channel One News (which I had no clue what it was until recently because my high school never had it) and the Mole. Recently, he's been on CNN, reporting and often filling in for Aaron Brown on Newsnight. Becca loves it whenever he fills in. Why can't they make it Newsnight with Anderson Cooper. Who cares about Aaron Brown, anyway. That cynical sense of humor... those eyes... God, he could deliver my news any day...

For all you girls that like mandolin players, this cutie is someone to check out. From the band Nicklecreek, November's scrawnylicious man of the month is CHRIS THILE. Jenny doesn't typically watch CMT or anything, but she couldn't deny her southern roots (her family is from the Tennessee to Georgia area). Watching Grand Ol' Opry one night in early spring, she couldn't help but notice the totally adorable mandolin player, and she's had a thing for them ever since...

For the month of December, we thought we'd do something different. Instead of someone famous, we decided that we would honor Jenny's best friend JUSTIN with scrawnylicious man of the month. He is adorable, cuddly, and the sweetest guy around. And plus, who could not love a guy with a cute little girl in his arms? (by the way, the cute little girl with him is Alicia, Jenny and Justin's friend Miranda's baby). If you are wondering if he is really this cute in person, the answer is of course YES- he's also often mistaken for Rivers Cuomo, can't deny those Italian looks!!!
