Our Trip

Home |  Introduction |  Our Trip |  Your Route |  Evaluation |  Welcome Back Home! |  Visiting Again?

Are you ready?! Ok, ladies and gentlemen! I know you're just as excited as I am, but before we leave I need your help! There are so many exciting sights to see, historical landmarks and cities to check out, and economic activities to view so we can find out what jobs Midwesterners have and where they work. Since we only have 3 weeks for our trip, let's narrow down what we want to see and organize our trip!

We do not want to waste much time in getting out to travel, I will place you in groups of 4 so you can decide what you believe is important to check out! I will assign each group to 1 pair of states from the list of links on the "Your Route" Page. Each group must decide what group member is taking the roles below:

1 student to find 5 geographic features (major rivers and lakes, landmarks, mountains, scenery, etc)

1 student to research the top 5 historical sites

1 student to find 5 of the state's interesting facts

1 student to discover 5 of the most important economic products and resources in this region.

Present them to me organized in a day to day itinerary that makes sense, keeping in mind we are traveling by bus and we only have three weeks to discover all of the Midwestern States.

Also, acknowledge you are competing with the other groups in class for creating our itinerary because we only have 3 weeks to see everything! That being said, I need to know why you feel I should choose your group's route and why your group did not choose other important places in your pair of states. Was it because of location, personal significance or maybe because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity? I am looking for creativity, organization, entertainment and education.
