Michael "Tum Tum" Douglas awoke with a start in the middle of the night. He wasn't sure why, but he felt that something was very wrong in his home. He climbed down to the bottom bunk of the bunk beds he and his brother, Colt shared. His bare feet touched the soft carpet with a small thud, and he stood in place for a moment, wiggling his toes nervously. Suddenly, a cold, damp hand leapt from under Colt's bed and grabbed little Tum Tum by his ankles and began to drag the young boy under the bed. Tum Tum was frozen with fear, feeling his bare feet becoming extremely cold as they entered the large, cavernous hole under his brother's bed. Tum Tum looked down at his legs and saw many more gross, reptilian hands grabbing and pulling at his pajamas. The little ninja screamed in horror as he gazed upon a million scary faces, monsters he had seen before hundreds of times in his nightmares. This wasn't what really scared him, though. What made Tum Tum scream was the way they were looking at him. As Tum Tum descended into the sea of monsters, they began to look at him hungrily. One monster with long, sharp teeth grabbed Tum Tum's left foot and licked its lips, preparing to eat Tum Tum's cute, tender little toes one by one. Tum Tum screamed as the monster bit down on his big toe…
Tum Tum shut his eyes, screaming at the top of his lungs. He finally opened his eyes when he heard Rocky and Colt yelling at him. Looking around to find his bedroom, and a clock that read 2:00 a.m., the little boy realized that it had all been a nightmare. His feet were cold because he had kicked off his covers in his sleep, leaving his bare feet hanging over the bunk, right next to an open window. Tum Tum breathed a sigh of relief and went back to sleep, not even noticing the small tooth-shaped cut on the top of his big toe…
