Story: After Colt and his brothers defeated Koga in Japan, they returned to America to win the Little League Championship. On their way home, Rocky invited Miyo to stay with their family. After about three straight minutes of taunting from Colt and Tum Tum, Miyo accepted. She moved in that night, much to Rocky's delight (she was staying in what was formerly known as "the room at the end of the hall that mom is redoing"). The next morning, Colt woke up and noticed that that the sky over Los Angeles was a very odd shade of red. When the infamous "earthquake" struck that same day, the 3 Ninjas and Miyo fled to the Douglass's bomb shelter. They remained there through the first Doomsday tournament, all the while Colt mumbling about not being able to do anything about it. Halfway through the tournament, Grandpa Mori Shintaro fell ill. Colt knew that his grandfather's illness was life-threatening, and it tore him up inside to see TWO situations at once that he could do nothing about. Mori explained to his grandsons that the cure for his illness is a flower that only grows in Australia, but it was next to impossible to get a ride there since international flights were pretty much only available to Doomsday Tournament compeditors. When the family caught word of a SECOND Doomsday tournament, Colt became very anxious. He knew that the tournament was worldwide, and he might be able to find the cure for his grandfather's illness! He started to lecture Rocky, Tum Tum, and Miyo about how it is their duty to protect their town, no, their planet from the invading hordes of demons. Rocky protested that the true ninja never fights unless he is sure he can win, but Colt replied that the true ninja also protects those in need. Miyo stepped in, telling Rocky that Colt is right. She went on to explain that evil can only win if good people do nothing. That was all Colt needed to hear (funny how Tum Tum never had any say in what they would do). That night, the four ninjas snuck out of the house, made their way to San Francisco and signed up for 1999 Doomsday 2: Hell on Earth.
