1.(Q) How long have you been Dirt Jumping?

(A) Since about 1993,About 5 or 6 years now.

2.(Q) Do you remember your first serious trick that you attempted?

(A) I think it was a no footer,Where you take both of your feet off the pedals as your flying through the air.

(A) Yes I started racing Bmx back in 1984 and I still race now as well as Dirt Jump,I race in the A Pro class

4.(Q) What do you feel is the Craziest jump/trick people are attempting now a days?

(A) I think one of them is the TailWhip,where you spin your bike all the way around under you while you still have a hold of the handlebars,its tuff to say though there are so many new tricks coming out

5.(Q) I would like to see Dirt Jumping contests held at every National Bmx event,Do you see a trend towards anything like that?

(A) Yes I do,It seems as if Dirt Jumping has really been growing the last couple of years,There are people all over the world that are really into Dirt Jumping and it sounds like there might be a possibility of it maybe becoming an Olympic Event.

6.(Q) Before a contest do you do any special training or conditioning programs?

(A) Yes about 1-2 weeks before the contest I'll start riding my bike alot and doing all my jumps,usually by the time of the contest I have all my jumps picked out and ready to go.Sometimes if someone else does the same trick or jumps then I might end up switching one or two,But normally I pretty much keep to the jumps I have picked out.

7.(Q) Any advice for the new Dirt Jumpers out there?

(A) Hang in there and take your time,Sometimes its easy to see the Pros or someone who has been jumping for a long time and want to try thier tricks,but its best if you start small and work your way up to the harder jumps.Dirt jumping is a great sport but there are alot of ways to get hurt.So make sure you always have your Safety equipment on.

7.(Q) When your going down the ramp in a contest.What are you thinking about?

(A) Mostly im thinking that this is just like the trails and not to be worried about it,Usually the first couple jumps in practice is when i notice the people watching but after that and during the contest I just think about how its the same as riding the trails to take the pressure off

8.(Q) Are you going to be attending any events in the near future?

(A) Yes I will be attending the Cactus Cup Mtn Bike Races,They are having a huge Dirt Jumping contest there,Thats in Pheonix. And also I will be attending the ABA's Spring Nationals in CA.
