(A) I started when I was 7 1/2 years old (1985)
(A) My first race was in Bend,Oregon at a Race for Life,Leukemia race.I had to borrow a bike and it was my first time being on a BMX track. It was scary but very exciting at the same time.I ended up getting 2nd in the main.My trophy is at home on the mantel
(A) I basically keep my training the same through out the season but the week before a race I take it a little easier to rest up for the big weekend.I also try and eat more Pasta the week before to try and build my Carbo's
(A)The new ABA's Pro Girls class seems to be working out well. The first race in Phoenix went smoothly and everyone seemed to like it.I am glad the ABA is finally giving girls the chance to move up into pro like the guys always have.It gives the younger girls something to strive for,a goal. The NBL has had the Super Girls class for a couple of years now and it is still growing strong,At every race we get about 20-30 girls competing
(A) For the people just starting out you have to work at your own pace and get a feel for what the sport is really like.It may be big right now,but in a couple of years it could go back down again. You just have to stick with it and it will benifit you in the end. Also you can get discouraged when you race faster more experinced poeple than you.Experince comes with time and with time and determanation you will come out ahead.
(A) Getting the National #1 Girl Cruiser title in 1991 is the most treasured accomplishment that I have in this sport.I cant forget the feeling of standing in the Grands Arena with all those people staring down at me while I tried to talk.I am glad that I was at an age that I could appreciate what was happening to me
(A) I try to ride a couple of times a week if the weather permits
(A) I rode Honda Hills a couple of times last year, but it has since been torn down.I want to ride trails but the ones out here are extremely technical and challenging.
