Interview with Treks AA pro Wade

I had the chance to do a short interview with
Treks AA Pro Wade Bootes.Here are
the Questions I asked
Wade and his Answers to them.
1.(Q) How long have you been racing
Bmx?
(A) Since I was 7
years
old.
2.(Q) Do you
remember your first race,And what was it like?
(A) I just remember that I
wanted to watch,but my dad entered me in the race and
made me race it.I can remember the old starting gate and
the track.I think i got 3rd that day.
3.(Q) What is your best
advice
for beginners?
(A) Ride your bike as
much as you can and learn what the bike can do.Do
Wheelies,jumps and silly little tricks to make you more
aware of your bike handling skills.
4.(Q) What do you think
about the Girls Pro Class?
(A) I think it will be
some interesting racing.It should keep alot more girls in
the sport.it can only make things better if it is done
right.
5.(Q) Do you plan on doing
any Mountain Bike racing this year for Trek?
(A) Yes,I am on the Trek
Mountain Bike Team for 98,I will be racing Dual Slalom
only.I will be doing about 6 races.
6.(Q) Did you pick out the
color Scheme for your bike?
(A) I left that up to the
Art Department at Trek and then I told them it was
great,And then they started painting.
