Walking about more, to the West, you come upon a part where the flowers are no longer present, and a longer grass grows!

It's quite odd, almost like an invisible line that caused the scenery to change... You're thinking about it, when suddenly you hear a rustling noise, in the grass ahead! Oh no... let that be a tiny insect of some kind? you silently plead.

But the noise gets louder, and closer, and suddenly you find yourself face to face with whatever it is...

You jump, and nearly scream, but it seems to smile at you, and you lose your fear right away. Intelligence gleams in it's eye, and you wonder what it knows. It makes a whistle of sorts, and another one runs up...

The first looks at you quite disapprovingly and speaks. "So, you're another traveler come to stare at the three of us? Couldn't you give us a friendly hello or something?" She rolls her eyes as you continue to look at her in shock.

She stares at you for a bit, seemingly deciding whether or not to accept your greeting. She seems to think a bit longer, and then nods. "Well, that's a start... My name is Veloxia," she nods at the large qual sitting with wings slightly spread "This is Kerinly, and the final member of the meadow is Aveilla. I chose Veloxia as a name for myself, and I chose Aveilla's name as well. Kerinly was named after her parents... My name has no special meaning that I know of, but I rather liked the sound of the syllables together- the same goes for hers. Speaking of no special meaning, this holds our genotypes." She shakes her mane, and a pouch falls, from which you take a piece of paper:
