History:
The Lightning Kid, who was teamed with Chaz in the GWF and formed the tag team "Superstuds", was about to call it quits in 1992. He had developed a cult following in the PWA, logged a tour of Japan and finally gained national exposure via ESPN in the early evolution of the Global Wrestling Federation. Still, the Lightning Kid (as he was then known) kept running into the same obstacle when trying to gain employment in the Big Two: the talent agents were judging him based on how he looked rater than how he worked. Besides being babyfaced, Sean was not even 200 lbs.
The WWF finally took a chance by signing him, not really expecting much more than another overmatched competitor to give the "names" a brief challenge in TV matches. That's exactly what they got... at first anyway.
When the gangly youngster started scoring upsets on top-liners like Razor Ramon, the ultimate underdog was nicknamed 1-2-3 Kid by Vince McMahon. He proved that his speed, aerials and swift kicks could make up for the often-huge sized differences by winning the WWF Tag Team Belts from a team including Bam Bam Bigelow. He Gained further respect from a grueling series with Hakushi and on European tours, where he was Very Popular.
Sean had one more surprise for the WWF up his sleeve-he made the decision to turn rulebreaker, thumbing his nose at all those he felt failed to give him his due credit from the start.
Though it wasn't well known to the public but the Kid (Sean) belonged to the infamous KLIQ. So when Diesel (Kevin Nash) and Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) went to Atlanta to become nWo founders, it was expected by insiders that the Minneapolis native would align himself with his friends upon the termination of his WWF contract because of injuries he was sustaining at that time. Five nWo Members already on board, he was named.. Syxx or to others... Syxx Pac upon switching promotions. He then became a member of the nWo Original Wolfpac.
One of the drawbacks of continually giving away a considerable weight advantage is the tendency to receive injuries. Health problems put Sean on the rack for a portion of his first WCW tenure and all through the winter of 1997. Then again, this is a wrestler who was knocked unconscious going over the top rope in his indy days yet still managed to get back into the ring and pin his opponent.
Sean returned to the WWF on March 30th, 1998, after being fired by Eric Bischoff, president of WCW, via Fed-Ex... Sean was out at the time for serious injuries. He immediately re-joined Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna and The New Age Outlaws in D-Generation X. Not long after joining he went on to win the European Title. Currently trying to hold together what's left of D-Generation X along with Road Dogg Jesse James and his tag-team partner Kane (who at this time isn't an official member of DX). Feuding with EX-DX members Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna and Bad A§§ Billy Gunn.
Sean has just signed a 3 year extension to his contract with the WWF and his new deal is worth around $325,000 a year.
Sean is also noted in the September 1999 (vol.1 issue 5) edition to WOW (World of Wrestling) magazine as being the the Wrestler of the Month. Congrats go out to our little Degenerate.
