One of the killing scenes is really bad, but I like it. It's so bad it's funny. The Japanese people want to kill off a kung fu school, so they send a group armed with swords to attack them from behind. The swordsmen sneak up and kill of everyone. Shirts are torn & slashed, but not a drop of blood was used. I laughed.
Finally, the worst scene in the entire movie, the ending. After defeating the Japanese, Jackie & his friends take the deteated out of the building, where everyone is shot. Everyone. Jackie dies, his friends die, and the Japanese people that were his enemies also die. The end. My assumption is that despite all their effort, Japanese guns prevailed over Chinese Kung-Fu, although they never really mention that in the movie.
Overall, this is a moderately cheesy movie with some neat fight scenes, and a horrible ending. If you're into other older Chan films, like Drunken Master or Half a Loaf, you should own this movie, but I wouldn't pay more than five bucks for it.
