Dulcie

Please Help Us Bring Her Home!

Dulcie is a very shy, three-year old Dalmation who was stolen from the front yard of her Cle Ulm, Washington home on March 31, 1997.  Her devastated family is desperate to find Dulcie, and could use your help.

Dulcie's family got her when she was 5 months old. She was scared and distrustful of everyone and had obviously been abused by a previous owner. After months of good, loving care Dulcie blossomed...though it took her two years before she trusted the family's two teenage sons enough to allow them to pet her.

Dulcie is lightly spotted, with the majority of her spots along her back.  Her left ear is solid black, and she has a heart shaped spot on her left shoulder, just above her forearm.  There are no other spots around this heart.  Both eyes are lined in black.  Her tail has two very faint, tiny spots, but to the average person it would just look white.  She is spayed, but the scar may not be visible.

Her family doesn't think Dulcie is going to adapt to another family or person, as it took two years of tender care to earn her trust and can't see her bonding to anyone else.  Her owner, Lisa Messer, makes this heartbreaking statement... "I know she is still scared and confused, and I know she wants to come home.  I worry about her constantly, and she is always on my mind. She is not 'just a dog', she is my baby and I want her homeI cannot give up looking for her, nor can I stop my tears",...testimony to the love Dulcie was so cruelly torn from.

Dulcie's family has blanketed the state of Washington with flyers, hoping someone may have seen her. As of yet, there have been no solid leads, but we at Kina's Hope are appealing to you to change that. Someone out there has seen Dulcie, now that person needs to do the right thing and come forward with the information.

Take a good hard look at her photo. If you should see her, please notify:
