Story: Nuriko was introduced as Kourin, a lady in the palace. He was pretty much mean to Miaka in the beginning of the series, but that was because he thought Miaka was taking Hotohori from him. Well, somehow, they talked everything over and became friends (o.o amazing..).

However, Miaka later finds out that Nuriko is actually *DUN DUN DUN!* a man! He has a reason for cross dressing, though!!! He had a sister named Kourin. They were the best of times, but she died when she was nine. She was killed by a horse cart or something... He couldn't accept that she was gone so he decided to live out her life.

Later in the series, he decided to cut his hair and that was when he decided to finally start living his own life and be who he was (*-* ::starry eyes:: how admirable...not to mention cute). ::sob:: That was the episode before he died! Even though Nuriko's death was tragic.... I personally considered it one of the most honorable ones I've seen. ::smacks a SUGOI sticker on Nuriko-sama:: ^_^
