Zippo-a-Go-Go Concert
Grumpy's Bar - Minneapolis, MN - 10/15/01

Here are several photos I took at the concert on October 15th. The band wore camoflage moo-moo's, except for Dale who was very elusive & sweaty in the back, so I had to blow up his pictures. Kevin managed to hide behind the microphone most of the time... and Buzzo was very passionate in his singing & playing, as usual.

The opening band was "Har Mar Superstar," who could not make the show that night. Instead, the crowd was invited to watch a video that was in the style of Andy Worhol. A 45 minute movie about a guy who is really bored sitting on the couch... the guy moves once, to put on a leotard, and then proceeds to pose on the couch in several positions. Very gay. The music reminded me of Jamoroquay or Bel Biv Devoe.

    Shit Sandwich 7" (200 printed)


    Shit Sandwich is autographed by the entire band. Side A: "Shit Sandwich..." and Side B: "...And You Just Took a Bite!" You have heard this song... and you will remember if you just think about the title for a little while.



    Zippo Display Case

    There were many different zippo designs, mostly Kozik & Coop art. The "death head" image (from Singles 1-12) was the most common.


    The show was great. They played from 11:04 to 11:56 and the sound engineer did an excellent mixing job. About 100-200 people attended the show.

    Dale made a grand exit and I still had 5 pictures left, so I snapped a few of the equipment.

    Lastly I took a picture of the Melvins sticker that is always on Buzzo's case. I've seen it at nearly every show, so it's a nice momento.
