February 1997 - Cheri Smith joins the cast as a Swing.
March 1997 - Sean Keller is let go. Manley Pope of TV's Sweet Valley High is brought in as Keller's replacement.
May 25 to June 5 1997 - As RENT closes in Boston, Carrie Hamilton (Maureen) is replaced by Ensemble member, Amy Spanger. Alicia Westlman is cast as Mark's Mom & Others. Also, Terita Redd replaces Queen Esther as SOL Soloist and Kamilah Martin joins the cast.
June 5 1997 - RENT OPENS IN ST. PAULDuring the St. Paul run Shaun Earl (Enesemble) fills in for Stephan Alexander (Angel) while Alexander is out on vocal rest.

October 18 1997 - Luther Creek (Mark) leaves the Angel tour to begin Rehearsals in Toronto for the Candian debut of RENT. Christian Anderson (Ensemble) & Daniel J. Robbins (Swing) share the role of Mark.
November 5 1997 - RENT HITS STRIKES CHICAGO! Christian Anderson becomes the official Mark. Dan Robbins replaces Anderson as Gordon & Others. Also, as the show moved to Chicago, Shaun Earl replaced Stephan Alexander as Angel and Dwayne Clark assumed the role of Benny from James Rich. Evan D'Angeles and Josh Greene join the cast.

January 1997 - ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST MEMBER ANTHONY RAPP (MARK) JOINS THE TOURDuring Rapp's one months stint with the Angel Cast Chrsitian Anderson (Mark) played the role of Mark on Broadway. February 1997 - Julie P. Danao (Alexi Darling & Others) leaves the show to join the Broadway cast. Cristina Ablaza replaces Danao and becomes a member of the Ensemble. April 5 1997 - CHICAGO CLOSINGAmy Spanger and Tim Cole's final performances with the Angel Tour.
April 8 1998 - RENT OPENS IN DETROIT! Erin Keany makes her RENT debut as Maureen. Evan D'Angeles begins his stint as Angel while Shaun Earl fills in for Wilson Cruz on Broadway. April 1997 - Simone (Mimi), Manley Pope (Roger), Sylvia MacCalla (Joanne) leave the show to persue other projects. Laura Dias, Christian Anderson and Kamilah Martin assume the roles, respectivly. Trey Ellet also joins the cast to play Mark just after the show arrives in Detroit.
June 1997 - Josh Greene leaves the show.

July 10 1998 - RENT OPENS IN PHILADELPHIA Shaun Earl returns to the Angel Tour and Rufus Bonds is cast as Tom Collins. Marcus Chaney joins the cast sometime in Philly as a Swing.

July 1998 - Evan D'Angeles returns to the show and Christopher Freeman, D'Angeles, temporary replacement, leaves the show. Alan Mingo leaves the Angel cast to join the Benny Touring Co.
September 1998 - Rufus Bonds Jr. leaves RENT to continue work on the Broadway production of "Parade". Dwayne Clark replaces Bonds and former Angel Cast member D'Monroe (who had been touring with the Benny Cast) returns to play Benny.
September 30 1998 - RENT OPENS IN BALTIMORE! Original Boston Cast Members Daniel J. Robbins (Ensemble) & Cristina Ablaza left the show as D'Monroe (Benny), Josh Greene (Gordon) and Evan D'Angeles (Paul) returned. Cheri Smith (Swing) replaced Ablaza as Alexi Darling. Kristoffer Cusick and Karen Olivo moved up to Cops. New cast members include, Cristina Fadale and Marcus Chaney. Alan Mingo leaves to join the Benny cast.
