Brief Overview
I dont want to give away too much of the story here, but the story starts out when a cursed god attacks Ashitaka's village. During the battle Ashitaka's arm is wounded by the demon, leaving a cursed scar on him. The demon dies but not before uttering these final words "You filthy humans. Know my pain and hatred."
After talking to the village wise woman about the nature of his wound, Ashitaka finds out that he must travel west to find a cure for the curse or it will eventually kill him. I might have left out some of the details, but hopefully you get the basics of what happened.
What I Think
Unbelievable is the best word I can say to describe this movie. Everything the visuals, music, and story, there all spectacular. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie. Seeing it was truely a remarkable experience, I can't recommend it enough. Hopefully Princess Mononoke will be that big film that helps bring more anime movies to the United States.
