I slept
through most of the flight, (something I hadn't been
doing much of for the past couple of days). I didn't
know at the time, but Brian was watching me sleep
soundly, while we were in the air. He smiled as I
slept innocently, running his fingers over the back of
my hand. He wanted nothing but for me to be happy, and
he was desperately worried that I was unhappy with the
road. He knew it was tough, and he just wanted to be
there to ease the blow of it all.
I opened my eyes from sleeping peacefully and caught Brian's eyes resting on my face. He smiled at me, and they sparkled like newly polished stones. "Good morning," he whispered, caressing the back of my hand. "Good morning," I answered with a smile. I lifted my head and looked around me. Outside the window I saw the unmistakable Florida coast. I smiled to myself. "We're almost there!" I exclaimed. Brian laughed. "Yep. Captain said in about 15 minuets we should be landing," he said. I looked back over at him and smiled. "How long have you been watching me sleep?" I asked. Brian blushed. "Um... I honestly don't know! I was too busy staring at your beautiful face to pay any attention to the time." Now I blushed. He was so sweet, and he was still running his fingers over my hand. I turned my hand over so our palms touched, and I held his hand lightly. He looked up at me and grinned. "I love you," he said. "I love you too," I replied. At that, Brian gently leaned in and our lips just barely touched in a sweet kiss. Shortly after, the plane landed and Brian and I gathered all our belongings. He slipped on a baseball cap and we walked outside the plane, accompanied by one security guard, just incase word of Brian's arrival got out. It was highly unlikely, but it's better to be safe than sorry. We stopped to sign a few autographs, while some girls gave me looks of pure evil, and then we hopped into a limousine that was awaiting our arrival. Brian sighed out, and leaned his head against the back of the seat. "I'm so glad to be home!" he announced. I smiled, and inched over to him. I gently rested my head on his shoulder, and blushed when I felt him wrap an arm around my waist. Brian smiled to himself, totally content. "You know what?" he asked softly. "What?" I replied in the same soft tone, curiously. "We have all day to spend together!" he answered. I smiled to myself, still cuddled against him. "Sounds good to me," I said. Brian grinned. "Yeah," he answered with his eyes closed. I let out a content sigh as we sat together. I loved the feel of him next to me, and felt warm and safe in his embrace. Brian opened his eyes slightly and looked down at me. He smiled as I rested against him. He leaned his head back again and closed his eyes as he thought to himself. "God, she gives me such an amazing feeling!" He felt very warm and happy. He loved just sitting together with the one he loved, not worrying about what to say or do; just enjoying the moment. That's one thing he never got to share with Sarah; She was always making a move, and had to be doing something, and he never got the chance to just sit still for a minuet. He didn't realize how much he missed that until he met Corinne. He could actually talk to her, and he was always calm, relaxed, and happy around her. He smiled broadly as he remembered the first time I fell asleep on his shoulder on the way back from the amusement park. "Brian, what's up?" Nick asked. "Nothing," I answered, "just that Corinne has fallen asleep!" BJ started chuckling, "Are you serious?" she asked. "Yeah, I'd hate to disturb her, she looks so peaceful," I added, blushing. "Corinne, you gotta wake up!" Nick shouted. "SHH!! Don't disturb her!" I said back. "Well, what the heck are you going to do, then?!" Nick countered. I looked down and smiled at her as she began to stir... In all actuality, I didn't care if we were stuck like this all night. Corinne opened her eyes and looked up at me. "Hey," I said softly, smiling. I could see her blush lightly, and grinned at how cute she looked. "Hey," she answered, getting up. I felt disappointed she had to get up, but knew she had to. Nick and BJ were turned around in their seats, and grinning wildly. I rolled my eyes and Corinne looked back over at me. I realized I still had my arm around her. "How are you feeling? You sure you can drive home?" I asked. "Yeah... yeah, I'll be ok," she answered, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. I couldn't help but think how adorable she was... I opened my eyes and looked up at Brian. His eyes were shut, but he had a huge grin spread across his face. I smiled, laughing inwardly. "I wonder what he's thinking about?" I thought to myself, perplexed. Whatever it was, it was something good! I smiled, and rested my head back on his shoulder again. I gently rested my hand on Brian's chest, and he laid his hand on top of mine. "Do you realize this is the first time we've been alone since... that day you said you loved me," I started, blushing slightly, "and we're spending it by sleeping in the back of a limo?!" Brian grinned and laughed slightly. "Sounds good to me," he answered. I smiled. A few moments later, both him and I fell asleep in each other's arms, on the way home to his house. |
