Part 2

Finally, after spending the entire hour listening to Ms. Boratch lecture about how cute bunnies were, it was time for second-hour. Tomer thought back to the strange events of the last sixty minutes.

"What the heck was the deal with bunnies?" he thought, "The ones she brought in didn't seem so cute, in fact, something about them was quite scary!"

Joey Beckman and Sam Frost, two more of his friends from elementary school, brought him back to reality.

"How's it going, Tomer?" asked Joey. Joey was by far the smallest member of the group, barely 4'6". He had brown, wavy hair, pinkish skin, and a rather youthful face. He could easily pass as a seven-year old if given the chance. Joey was wearing a light blue tank top and a pair of swimming trunks that were visible poking from underneath his denim shorts. His feet were bare, as incidentally it was not against THIS particular school's policy.

"I'm okay, I guess" Tomer replied. "It's just something doesn't seem right about this school. I mean, did you see the bunnies that are placed in the classrooms? They're way creepy!"

"What do you mean, Tomer?" Joey asked, "I thought they were kind of cute." Suddenly, Sam burst in between them. Sam was slightly taller than Tomer was, but with fire-red hair and loads of freckles. He wore a red T-shirt and blue jeans with low-top shoes and ankle-socks. "Hey guys, if we don't hurry, we're gonna be late!" Sam shouted. With that, the three friends began to run for the school gym, a class they all shared.

"Hmm. All troops in place sir," a raspy but unmistakably cute bunny voice spoke into a two-way radio.

"Excellent. We've been tracking the development of this school, and I for one don't trust it a bit. I say we nip this potential problem in the bud immediately!" an equally cute voice said back through the radio. A small white bunny with a brown spot over his eye crawled out from under a bench in the hallway.

"I think one of those kids might suspect something." he said. "Don't worry about it, Snaapel."

The voice on the other end replied "He'll be dead before the end of the day, anyway"

"Yes General Propain. When do we begin the assault?" Snaapel asked.

"I'll give you the word" General Propain assured. As Tomer ran to the gym, he saw a small bunny with a brown spot on his eye speak into a radio, but again he chalked it up to lack of sleep.

"I'll have to catch some 'Z's in math class then." he thought to himself.
