A Prayer
Friends and loved ones gather 'round,
Laughter, food and fun abound.
There's smiles and hugs, and children..the noise!
Just being together, and sharing the joy!
There's one moment when the bustling dies,
Even the babies cease their cries...
An aura of warmth fills all our hearts
As we bow our heads and someone starts...
A Prayer:
Heav'nly Father, We give thanks today,
For all blessings you have sent our way.
We thank thee for our home and health,
Our family and friends, our spiritual wealth.
We ask a blessing, on this day
For all those here, and far away
Touch their hearts with love, and let them see
The value of peace and charity.
In your Heav'nly name we pray.
