This is just **assuming you have a Windows based PC**. It might be similar for Macs, but these are the only heavily retard-enabled instructions I can give. Mac users should follow the directions up to Step 4, then find the link for RealPlayer5.0
I've made this "backgroundless" so you can print this sucker out if needed.
Step 1: Go to RealPlayerG2 download page or http://www.real.com/products/player/index.html for the copy-paste types.
Step 2: Go to step 3
Step 3: You should now have a screen with links to download RealPlayerG2 beta or RealPlayerPlus G2 beta. You want the first one, RealPlayerG2 beta, because it is *free*. So click on its link.
Step 4: You should now have a screen asking you questions like your email address, name, operating system, etc. Fill in your respective info for your computer. If you don't meet the "basic requirements" at the bottom of that page, click on the link for RealPlayer5.0(Mac users do this too).
Step 5: It will now take you to a screen that has a bunch of cities that are links. The screen says verify your operating system, which means look at the top line of text to make sure it says Windows 95, if that is what you have of course.
Step 6: Click on the city closest to you. No need to get out the exact mileage charts or anything, just guess.
Step 7: A screen should pop up warning on downloading files and blah blah blah.....it will have preselected "save to disk" for you. Click ok. A screen will come up so you can tell your computer where to put the downloaded file. Make sure you save it somewhere on your *HARD DRIVE* (not a floppy disk, it won't fit)where you can find it later. You may want to make a note of it.
Step 8: Now wait. A window will pop up showing files flying through the air between floders. A blue status bar will start to appear on the bottom. *Note* only once have I had a problem with the city nearest me. If you get a time estimate of some ungodly amount (like in HOURS), click cancel and pick a different city. it shouldn't take a 33.6kbps or 56.6kbps modem any longer than 25 minutes at the most. For the meantime, just chill with your bad self. And watch that little bar inch closer to full.
Step 9: If you are clicking around and the download window hides itself, look on your menu bar for "Downloading File" and click it. It should restore. The less you mess around, the quicker it will download. **Sit still!**
Step 10: Once it is done downloading, the window goes away. Now do your thing and get offline. Retrieve the note of where you downloaded the file and find it. It is probably in a folder called "Real", but you may have saved it somwhere else.
Step 11: Once you found the place where it should be, look for an icon of a computer and an open cardboard box in front of it. Depending on your operating system, it probably is named r32_g2b1_2 or something similar. The r#_g2b1_2 is the important part. Double click that sucker.
Step 12: YEAH! I can stop typing now cuz the Install Wizard should take over for you now! Remember, once you have it installed, get yo booty back online to
https://www.angelfire.com/mn/johnfrusciantemyhero/music.html
and click on the song title and you will be hearing what you did all this for.
