An entire day of trails over southern Manitoba. First noticed the trails at 08:00 am and they continued all day until sundown at 7:00pm CDT. The photo was taken with a 28mm lense. The weather conditions at 1:40 pm CDT.....Temp +10C, Dewpoint -8C, Humidity 27%, Wind SSW 19km/h, Pressure 103.3 hPa.
I also noticed one trail that was to the west of my location, heading NE to SW , that looked like a stringy core that segmented and curled dropping below the contrail. No film at the time. I have noticed this on a few occasions.Below is a photo of this stringy core appearance from September. This photo is directly overhead.
A photo of one of the aircraft during Oct.08, 2000 using a 1230mm lense and 200ASA film, need a higher ASA.
You can see the aircraft in the east section of the skytrail photo above.
