Epics.
An epic is a poem concerned with the deeds of or exploits
of hero;either legendary or historical.These poems,are usually lengthy
and written on a grand scale.Epics often are stories of great adventure,filled
with unusual happenings,which make them very interesting to read.Epics
have a characteristic thread of continuos action, a rapidity without haste
in narration and a simplicity and thoroughness in language. The truest
and probably the earliest of epics are the two epics;the Iliad and the
Odyessy;said to have been written been written by a Greek poet Homer.Other
examples of known epics are; The Lusaids by the Portuguese poet,Cameons,El
Sid,a Spanish epic, and The Divine Comedy, a religious poem by the Italian,Dante.
