What happened to the Satellite News?
Well, it went online! Check out
http://www.mst3kinfo.com for the latest news/interviews/schedules/faq/links/catalog for MST3000 (courtesy of longtime MSTies Chris Cornell and Brian Henry). If you are not online, you can mail a business-sized self-addressed stamped envelope to: Satellite News, Box 311, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 for a copy of the "latest news" section. Merchandise catalogs are still mailed to Info Club members from Best Brains. Update your address by writing to MST3K, P.O. Box 5325, Hopkins, MN 55343, or e-mailing mst3k@scifi.com.

Why did Joel/Frank/Josh/Trace leave and what are they doing now?
They all decided to leave Best Brains to find new creative challenges in Los Angeles.

When did Sci-Fi begin running MST?
MST began airing on The Sci-Fi Channel February 1, 1997. They contracted with us to buy 22 new episodes for Season 8, 13 shows for Season 9, and we were renewed for Season 10 in June, 1998! The "old" shows that aired on Comedy Central are not being shown anywhere at this time. Check the websites (listed below) for the latest US and European schedules.

Is MST being released on home video?
Yes, we're releasing selected episodes on Rhino Home Video. Eleven were available as of June 1998:
Mitchell, The Brain That Wouldn't Die, Cave Dwellers, Pod People, The Unearthly, Eegah!, Red Zone Cuba, The Atomic Brain, I Accuse My Parents, Gunslinger, and Manos, The Hands of Fate. Angels' Revenge and the MST Shorts Tape were released summer of 1998. They will be available through our Info Club catalog, Sci-Fi Channel's Store, anywhere Rhino titles are sold, or you can order them online. No other episodes are available for purchase at this time.

Why aren't letters read on the show anymore?
We stopped reading letters on the show after Season 7. But we do read all letters and e-mail that comes to Best Brains, via our P.O. Box 5325 address or the Internet (mst3k@scifi.com). Many are posted each week in the writing room, and other comments are circulated to the whole staff.

Will you ever do "shorts" again?
The longer movies and more complex host segments, plus Sci-Fi's requirement that shorts be sci-fi related, make it difficult to include shorts in the new shows. However, a short (Century 21 Calling) appears with episode 906, "The Space Children."

Will MST: The Movie be released on video or laserdisc?
MST: The Movie was released by Universal Home Video on October 1, 1996, on Laserdisc October 7, and on DVD in spring 1998.

Can I buy The Amazing Colossal Episode Guide? Will there be an update to include Seasons 7+?
You can buy the book through Rhino Direct (1-800-432-0020), Sci-Fi Merchandising, or bookstores (Bantam, ISBN 0-553-37783-3). There are no plans for a revision, but episode summaries for Season 8+, penned by our writers, are available on the Official MST page
http://www.scifi.com/mst3000.

Where can I find MST info online?
Our Satellite News website is:
http://www.mst3kinfo.com. The Sci-Fi Channel's Dominion website is: http://www.scifi.com/mst3000

Will there be another MST Convention?
There are no plans at this time (July 1998); however, check the Satellite News website for updates.

Where does the Columnar Pine grow?
Only on the island of New Caledonia, but what does this have to do with MST3000 questions?

How many miles is a Swedish mile?
A Swedish mile equals 6.2 English miles.

Who was Emperor Zeno?
He was ruler of Byzantium from 474 to 491, and he was buried alive by his successor, who locked him in a mausoleum to starve to death, but I'm not answering one more question unless it's about MST3000!

When did the episode "Attack of the Killer Shrews" (#407) first air?
It first aired on Comedy Central back on May 6, 1992

Is it true that Joseph Justus Scaliger (1540-1609), the greatest scolar of his time, would become hysterical at the sight of water-cress?
That's it, I warned you. I'm not answering any more questions.
