KNX Golden Age of Radio in 2003
The Drama Hour is being preempted the last week of October so that we can provide comprehensive coverage of the Southern California wildfire crisis.
"War of the Worlds" will air Friday night at 9pm (repeated at 2am) as scheduled, available online Nov. 1st
As the raging fires have devastated Southern California, the positive role KNX has played in helping our listeners deal with this emergency has become evident. Listeners in San Bernardino lost local radio station coverage and depended on KNX for evacuation information and updates on where the fire was heading. Listeners in Simi Valley got needed traffic information on freeway closures and alternate routes around critical fire areas. Other areas such as San Diego and Santa Barbara Counties do not have an all news station and are dependent on KNX's 50,000-watt signal.
