The Sundance Film Festival in January 2007 included the touching documentary "Zoo" about men who like to have sex with animals. The audience found it fascinating. And "HoundDog," written/directed by Deborah Kampmeier, concerns the rape of a girl while Elvis Presley is heard singing. The character played by 12-year-old actress Dakota Fanning (who made her mark six years ago in "I Am Sam") is raped onscreen. It's unclear whether the Presley estate will approve the licensing of Elvis's voice as the film's backdrop, or even if the writers of the song "Hound Dog" (Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller) won't keep their famous composition out of it if/when it's released to public theaters.
