Well, well, well...Seems Our Gordon Wilson got his hand caught in the 29 thousand dollar cookie jar. With Judy Tyabji his wife backing him all the way, I have to wonder if she is backing off the top of a political cliff. This is twice that Wilson has been caught fudging the truth. When he was running around with Tyabji behind his wife's back, he looked in the cameras with the attitude of, "Judy? Judy who?"

With Wilson in political quick sand and Tyabji jumping in with him, what will it mean to the voters here in Powell River. She stated she was going to run for Town Council, but for what position? Counsellor or Mayor? Will the Wilsongate cause voters here to have second thoughts? Sure Gordon Wilson has not been proven guilty yet, but will the public place a smoking gun in Tyabji's hand. Will the song "Stand by your man" help her political career?

The problem here is why would the woman lie and say Tyabji was calling her when she wasn't? I find no logical here. If the debt was forgiven by the husband of the complainant, should no Wilson and Tyabji have some sort of record or signature? After all, $29,000 dollars is not just spare change that can be forgotten about.

I myself have spoken with Judy Tyabji and like her honest political approach to issues. But now I find myself asking, how honest is this woman in light of Wilsongate? Was she making phone calls to the woman that Wilson owed the 29 thousand dollars telling her to back off? Or was the woman just plain lying. Is she running for town council for opportunistic reasons. What does she know about Powell River? Does she live here, or is her Powell River house one of many around BC.? These questions need to be asked.

Well elections start soon and it will be most interesting to see how the voters vote. We will soon see if Tyabji can keep her head above the Wilsongate fiasco. Heck, maybe she wonÕt even run. Nomination papers are going out so we will soon see. Gosh I love soap operas!
