WHEN THE SNOW FLIES,
IT'S TIME TO CLOSE THE PATCH!
YES, IT SNOWED and BLOWED ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2008 and by afternoon the ground was COVERED WHITE! #1 Pumpkin Place and the Bowling lanes & Checker Table was all white and the WEATHER STATION even blew over in the high winds! So I guess that's Mother Nature saying it's time to look forward to the 2009 season! (boo!)
THE SUNSHINE PRESCHOOL from Lake Mills, Iowa visited the Patch on Friday morning. NATE LOVES John Deere GREEN so he had to ride the JD Mini Tractor here at the Patch while Jacob, Treize and Hayden enjoyed a friendly game of CROW-K!
I think the whole group enjoyed a fun time at the patch again this year..THANKS FOR VISITING!
We had more OUT OF STATE visitors on our final day...Joyce and Lori with younger girls McKenna (with the dolls) and Reagan were visiting from North Carolina and older cousin Amanda was visiting from Arizona and they all were in the Northwood area for a mini-family reunion and found the PUMPKIN PATCH on the internet so paid a visit...AND WE ARE SO GLAD YOU DID!!
The sign says PUMPKIN PICKING TIME but unfortunately that time has come and gone for the 2008 season and all that remains are a few pumpkins that Elmer and the other pigs, sheep and goats will eat!
MAX is already looking to see if anyone is driving down PUMPKIN LANE but will now have a year until the next cars come to the Patch!
And BOY is looking for someone to feed him some pumpkin slices..one of his favorite treats!

THE PUMPKIN PATCH 2008 LADIES NATIONAL (USBC) BOWLING TEAM!
This year the NATIONAL LADIES BOWLING TOURNAMENT was in Detroit, Michigan and the PUMPKIN PATCH TEAM did GREAT..at least having a FUN TIME if not winning the tournament! The ladies are from the Green Bay area and represent the state of Wisconsin. Next year we'll be in Reno, Nevada for the tournament and they'll be CHAMPS AGAIN!!
