OPENING DAY WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

THE HEALTHY FAMILIES GROUP VISITED THE PATCH AND WAS THE FIRST ARRIVAL FOR 2009!

Domanick pushed his sister Deborah in one of the pumpkin wagons and she was the cutest pumpkin in the pile! Later Elli also enjoyed a ride in one of the wagons and had fun picking out her favorite pumpkin!

We had some "snow on the pumpkins" and the games Saturday morning BUT it melted off quickly and the sun did shine although a BRISK NW wind made it a COOL day at the patch!
I am covering as many pumpkins as I can since it gets pretty cool at night so best to get your pumpkin in your garage as soon as you can!

Cary & Kevin come out every year and this year enjoyed visiting with Bahama and Dolly Llama.

Wyatt & Weston made a cute picture sitting by the pumpkins at the patch!

Brock was out when snow still on the ground so looked at a couple inside the building--sorry the lighting was so bad as his face is BRILLIANT!

Visiting the Patch on Saturday was Nevaeh...so cute in the cart with her pumpkins! It was a beautiful day on Saturday--like heaven on earth--as they say and if you look at Nevaeh's beautiful name, you will note that Nevaeh is Heaven spelled backwards--AWESOME!

We had many families visit on Saturday too including Shane and Tiffney with their daughter Clara and son Blake! It's always great when the whole family can visit and enjoy the patch--thanks for coming out to visit!

Miss Wendy's Daycare visited on Friday, October 16th and most of the kids decided to walk (or quickly run) through the HAUNTED HOUSE--they all MADE IT!

Henry & Katlan enjoyed a game of bowling--not that easy with plastic pins, wind and lopsided pumpkins!

Before going back to the DAYCARE CENTER, Miss Wendy had snacks for the kids right at the PUMPKIN PATCH PARKING LOT--cookies & punch always taste good after an hour at the Patch!

Another CUTE PUMPKIN at the patch on Friday was Dalton who was sporting a new cap from Grandma and he sure enjoyed playing with the stems on the pumpkins!

The MONTESSORI CLASS visited the Patch on Tuesday morning and had a great time--THANKS FOR COMING KIDS!

Rachelle and her daughters Lauren & Lindsey visited the patch on Tuesday afternoon and by their smiles, I think they had a good time!

Taking a look at #1 PUMPKIN PLACE were Stefanie and her daughters Oliva and Dirk along with Jenny who I work with at 4-Seasons...they are from the Forest City/Thompson area in Iowa...GLAD YOU CAME FOR A VISIT!

Sunday morning, the FAITH BUILDERS from the United Methodist Church visited the patch and learned a little about harvest and the beauty of nature.

In the afternoon, Kale and his Mom Sarah visited the patch and Kale helped Mom push the cart out of the patch and to the car--TEAMwork!

Also visiting with their son and daughter in law & grandkids were Judy and Allen who come out every year--and ALWAYS WELCOME to visit the Patch!

We had a family from the Twin Cities area visit. As they were driving on I-90 after visiting in Sioux Falls, they asked about a PUMPKIN PATCH and the ROADRUNNER told them about us so they just stopped by for a break--AND ARE WE GLAD THEY DID. Visiting on Sunday were Jackie and Dave with their sons Will & Drew!

SOME PICTURES FROM THE 2009 PATCH!

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 28TH WAS OUR LAST DAY FOR THE 2009 PATCH AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION'S BUILDING BLOCKS VISITED TO END OUR SEASON!

Yes, I think the morning and afternoon Building Blocks groups had fun at the Patch and sure participated in many games! Before leaving, they all went into the PATCH and picked out their perfect pumpkin and put in their plastic bag--what a way to end their visit! Thanks for coming kids, teachers & parents!

Alex liked the pumpkin that his Dad Mark and brother Cory helped pick out...it was a fun outing for the guys at the Patch on Tuesday--thanks for spending family time together at the patch!

On Sunday, October 25th, TAYLOR & CAYLEA visited the patch and I got their picture with the WELCOME SIGN.

TRENT & CAIN (Agent 007) got in one the picture too! Cain said he's been coming out here for the past 11 years & still enjoying it along with Taylor and Caylea and other members of his family!

Also visiting Sunday afternoon was Brie and her friend Brad! Brie comes out to take pictures of the Patch for the ALBERT LEA TRIBUNE and enjoys visiting the patch herself & with friends! You will see some Brie's pictures in the TRIBUNE on Wednesday, October 28th--THANKS BRIE..can't wait to see them!

On Saturday, Emily visited and really enjoyed petting Max--I'll bet she'll be back next year to say "woof" to Max again!

Driving all the way from Green Bay, Wisconsin, the PUMPKIN PATCH NATIONAL USBC BOWLING TEAM came for a visit! I was so surprised when they drove in and they came this weekend as a "road trip" just to visit their sponsor--THE PUMPKIN PATCH--could have bowled me over in surprise!

The team and others enjoyed Bahama and Dolly Llama as they both are very friendly and love to be petted here by Nancy.

The team enjoyed my version of "Pumpkin Bowling" but agreed, the tournament lanes are much better!

At the tournaments, the team lines up for a team picture so we did the same here. The team members are Nancy, Jan, Lenore & Pat--Helen couldn't come!
To see more pictures of the team at the 2009 Reno USBC Tournament, look at the 2009 photo album below.
THANKS LADIES for visiting the patch and see you in April in El Paso--YOU'RE THE BEST!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SPOOKTACULAR TO DO THIS COMING WEEKEND....
Thanks for visiting the PATCH and we hope you'll visit us again next year!

THE 2009 PATCH IS PLANTED!

Give Justin a MOUNTAIN DEW and he's READY TO PLANT.
It all happened on Thursday night after supper on June 4th, 2009!

Going back and forth, north to south and south to north, Justin got it done in about 3 hours.
As we finished, the MOON was out in the southern sky on a PICTURE PERFECT EVENING!

When all over, it was the PUMPKIN PATCH WAVE knowing the seeds were in the ground and rain forcast for the weekend.

GETTING THE PATCH READY.....

JUSTIN came up and dug the patch before we plant it on Wednesday, June 3rd.

NOW IT'S ALL LEVELED OFF and LOOKIN GOOD!

THE PUMPKIN PATCH TEAM is in Reno this year bowling in the International Womens Bowling Competition. Here Tootsie, Madge, Lenore, Helen, Nancy, Pat and Jan got together after breakfast at the SILVER LEGACY to say Hi!

Yes, on Tuesday, April 21 we got together as a team and had BRUNCH at the Silver Legacy. Then at the lanes, they debuted with our new TEAM SHIRTS...black shirts with Orange print....we really like them! And to our surprise, we won the BEST DRESSED TEAM for the team event on April 21--and the ladies all got a beautiful pin to wear too! CLICK TO RETURN TO THE WEBSITE HOMPAGE
