NOW WE'VE MOVED ON TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21.....

We had 4 generations of a family visiting today and since I'm the 4th generation on the Pumpkin Patch Farm, I thought it should be noted with a picture. Here is (l-r) Great Grandma Lorraine, Grandma Laureen, her daughter Jeanne and her daughter Katrina in front of her. In front of Great Grandma are Jordyn and Renae. Thanks for visiting us at the patch today and many more happy reunions together!

Riding in the wagon pulled by Tom and Marvel is POLAR BEAR who looks like the CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP making sure it stays on course! Polar Bear is 9 years old and loved running around the Patch and RIDING IN THE WAGON on a great fall afternoon! Thanks for visiting Tom & Marvel and
Polar Bear, Max says "WOOF WOOF"!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22 WAS A GREAT FALL DAY TOO.....

I had a family out here that has visited for many years but unfortunately, I didn't get their names. Thanks for coming out all these years and look forward to seeing you again in 2007!

Visiting the Patch as an annual event from Estherville, Iowa are Grandma Marilyn, Martine, Madison and JJ who enjoy going into the patch looking for gourds and pie pumpkins. They too have been visiting the patch for a number of years and make it an ANNUAL EVENT.

Visiting for the FIRST TIME from the UP of Michigan and River Falls, Wisconsin are Paulette and her daughters Jona & Kelly and her granddaugthers Macy, who is enjoying the 4020 JD and Alia who is enjoying being held by Grandma Paulette! THANKS FOR VISITING all the way from Wisconsin and the UP!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25TH A BUSY DAY AT THE PATCH.......

We had 3 big buses and a couple smaller ones in the morning with about 125 visiting the Patch this morning!

Some of the kids and helpers checked out the games area and PUMPKIN PLACE #1 while others......

visited the Patch to find that PERFECT pumpkin! From this angle it looks like the GARDEN OF WEEDIN has taken over but between the rows of weeds are hundreds of pumpkins just waiting to be picked up and taken home!

The Montessori School in Albert Lea even had snacks for the kids to enjoy while they visited the Patch this year.

After spending some time at the patch, it was time for the AUSTIN ECSE CLASS to take hands and return to the bus for the trip back to the classroom after a beautiful sunny day at the Patch!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26.....

Ben and Amanda visited the Patch Thursday. Amanda asked way back in September when the Patch was opening so they could visit and today was the day! Both work at TRUMBLES in Albert Lea and are great ambassadors for our community as they prepare (Ben) those FANTASTIC meals and serve (Amanda) them to us "locals" and to visitors to our community! This time I got to wait on them...THANKS FOR VISITING the Patch today!

OUR LAST WEEKEND FOR 2006, OCT 28 & 29....

On Saturday and Sunday we are having our ANNUAL WHEELBORROW SALE where you can load a wheelborrow, cart or wagon and the cost is just $5! Here Rick Harve is brining the wheelborrow while the rest of the family is following behind...all having a BALL!

It was a busy afternoon at the Patch on Saturday as everyone enjoyed the Patch and the GAMES and #1 PUMPKIN PLACE with the Barney movie playing again today.

Marilyn and Bill Danielsen brought their family out for an afternoon at the Patch and here posed for a GROUP PICTURE in front of the 2006 MEASURE ME SIGN.

OUR LAST DAY FOR 2006, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29TH.....

We had a visit from Bob Koch and his family from Fairmont and Albert Lea as they enjoyed a beautiful fall day at the Patch!

With our WHEELBORROW SALE, Crystal and Grady came out with a good load of pumpkins to carve for Tuesday night!

Tracy, Anthony and Levy also got a good size load of pumpkins for $5--what a deal!

While everyone was out in the patch looking for pumpkins, Max could better see the action from on top of a picnic table in front of the cabin! Max really enjoyed greeting the 3000+ people who visited the patch this year!

Even on our last day as the patch closed, there are still a lot of BEAUTIFUL pumpkins out there. Some will be fed to the pigs and sheep and the rest will be plowed under to provide fertilizer for next years Patch!
