SOME PICTURES FROM THE 2010 PUMPKIN PATCH SEASON...

THE FIRST FAMILY AT THE PATCHIN 2010...

Lennie and Julie brought Angel out again this year to PICK HIS OWN PUMPKIN and he got a great variety!
THANKS for being our FIRST guests for the 2010 patch!

Visiting later in the day were...

Larry and Nancy with their granddaughters Ivy and Isabelle. It was their FIRST trip to the Patch EVER so we're glad they enjoyed their visit!
Gotta love being a FIRST!

A COUPLE OTHER FIRSTS VISIT THE PATCH ON DAY #2....

Kevin and Cary have been the first guests at the patch in the past years and didn't make it this year BUT they with their "kids" Teddi and Bailey came on Day #2 to enjoy a walk at the patch!


Also past FIRST TIMERS AT THE PATCH, Kevin & Robin from Lake Mills, they came on Day 2 with their kids Bianca and Anna and picked out their pumpkins.
FIRST or last, we are happy to see everyone again at the patch this year!



VISITING Sunday, 10/10/10 WERE Allen and Judy with their grandchildren Anna, Sam & Ben (green shirt) from the twin cities area. We were sure glad they could visit us today at the PATCH!


Also visiting today were Pat & Darrel with their grandsons Matthew & Christian (Christopher & Rachels sons) who live in Owatonna. We were sure glad to have them at the PATCH TODAY too!

THE GREAT WEATHER CONTINUES THIS OCTOBER AND EVERYONE IS ENJOYING IT!


The HOME AWAY FROM HOME Daycare visited the patch on Wednesday, October 13th.


After playing some of the games, they went into the PATCH to PICK THEIR PUMPKINS--and try and avoid the weeds!


Miss Wendy and the staff set up a PICNIC at the patch too and they enjoyed that before going back to the Daycare Center for lunch--THANKS FOR VISITING THE PATCH KIDS!



On Thursday afternoon, October 14th, Tracy and her daughters Kyra and Hailey(sitting) visited the patch coming down from the town of Freeborn.


Tracy's husband Caleb and I are related through our Grandfathers so we all got in the PICTURE so we could say HI to our GREAT UNCLE and COUSIN in California--HEY JIM!

WHAT A GREAT FIRST WEEK WE HAD--WARM TEMPS, COOL BREEZES and BEAUTIFUL PUMPKINS AND GUESTS!



FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15TH WAS ANOTHER SPOOKTACULAR DAY AT THE PATCH IN ALBERT LEA!


The NORTH IOWA STAY AT HOME MOMS visited the Patch with their children this morning.


They walked through the GARDEN OF WEEDIN Maze...


played PUMPKIN CHECKERS...


and, of course, picked out a pumpkin from the Patch! They all showed me their pumpkins as I think they had a good time exploring the Patch today.


Also visiting on Friday afternoon was the GLENVILLE/EMMONS KINDERGARTEN CLASS with Mrs. Butler.


They too played the games, walked the maze and PICKED OUT THEIR PUMPKINS! Thanks everyone for visiting the PUMPKIN PATCH today!


SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16TH WAS ANOTHER SPOOKTACULAR DAY AT THE PATCH IN ALBERT LEA!


A group from the United Methodist Church came out to the Patch today...Charlotte, Marcia and Jean bringing with them, Charlotte's son, Brad visiting from Florida.


Charlotte and Brad come out every year when he's visiting and always good to see them enjoy their time at the Patch!


Ralph, Lucas, George and Barb plus Laura and Eric enjoyed picking out the BIGGEST PUMPKIN in the Patch today--a GREAT family activity!

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19TH WAS ANOTHER SPOOKTACULAR DAY AT THE PATCH IN ALBERT LEA!


A group from the LAKE MILLS PRESCHOOL AND DAYCARE CENTER (morning class) visited the Patch today and started with a SNACK.


They also enjoyed looking at the llamas, sheep and the goats out in the pasture.


One small group from Lake Mills wanted their picture by the PUMPKIN PATCH SIGN...GOOD ONE!


In the afternoon, the small PM GROUP from Lake Mills also visited the patch and enjoyed a picture by the sign.


Visiting later in the afternoon was LuAnn and Randy with granddaughters Chloe and Rachel. They all wanted to say hi to Aunt Amy and Uncle Neal!



WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20TH WAS ANOTHER SPOOKTACULAR DAY AT THE PATCH IN ALBERT LEA!


The morning group from the BUILDING BLOCKS AT BROOKSIDE SCHOOL VISITED THE PATCH IN THE MORNING and enjoyed playing the games, picking a pumpkin out of the Patch and enjoying a SNACK!


The AFTERNOON classes also visited and did the same activities....


including the SNACK sitting out of the high winds near the corn field!


A group of residents from St. John's and Luther Place also visited the Patch again this year and had fun looking over this OLD FASHIONED FARM PLACE.


Max is always around and the kids and adults alike enjoy saying hi to him as he watches over the pumpkins.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24TH WAS ANOTHER SPOOKTACULAR DAY AT THE PATCH IN ALBERT LEA!


Sunday was a cloudy, warm & misty day BUT it didn't hamper the UNITED METHODIST FAITH BUILDERS (SUNDAY SCHOOL) classes from visiting the Patch in the morning.


Ahnika and Hannah put their faces in the PATCH SIGN and had fun with it!


The group also enjoyed a snack in the GAMES area.


Grandma Judy had another great opportunity to hold HOLDEN while they visited the Patch for the 2nd time on Sunday. Not only did Holden enjoy being held by Grandma Judy BUT also enjoyed the PUMPKIN COOKIES they had for a snack!
THE DAY was quiet but always someone there until closing time--gave the families a great time to enjoy the games and outdoors...IN SPITE OF THE MIST and DRIZZLE!


SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31TH WAS ANOTHER SPOOKTACULAR LAST DAY AT THE 2010 PATCH IN ALBERT LEA!


Saturday was a beautiful sunny fall day with a light NW breeze and many enjoyed the Patch one last time this year!
Grandparents Wayne and Jennifer enjoyed some time at the Patch with Lynsie and Grayson!


Emma and Eva were out earlier in the month and had so much fun at the PUPMPKIN PLAYHOUSE, they came back for another visit today--GLAD YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME AT THE PATCH kids--and MOM too!


Mikki and Josh brought out their boys again this year--Caleb and Colin...WELCOME BACK and glad you enjoyed a walk around the Patch & corn field
(fyi--they picked the corn at 7pm tonight so the field is now harvested!)


Kelly and her son Jacob enjoyed watching Sophia and Anthony enjoy their time at the patch again this year too!


Jackie and Kris enjoyed their time with Piper and Morgan--always lots to do and see at the Patch besides pupmpkins even if a little SHY about it all!


Grandma Nancy came back a second time this year this time with Caleb (the Lion King) and parents Mary and Mike.


Caleb even enjoyed a little golf after walking through the MAZE while Mom watched!
