To Let Go
It's hard letting go
To someone you've known
For your whole life,
You have no preparation
To say "I Love You",
And only one last chance
To say "Good-Bye".
It's hard letting go
To someone who's
Always been there,
Someone who's always cared,
Whom you take for granted
'Cause you've known
No other way.
It's hard letting go
To someone you think
Will be around forever,
Even though you know in your heart
The day will come,
But no so soon,
And not so suddenly.
It's hard letting go
When you have no choice
To make things different,
When you have no chance
To make thinks better,
When you have no say
To make things right.
You have to let things happen,
Let nature take its course.
It must be the right thing
Because God decided
That it was time.
And it's the hardest thing in the world:
To let go.
