Go Kart Racing Career: Seven track championships and seven track records with over two hundred wins in eight year career. Set unprecedented record in 1985 for nine consecutive clean sweeps.

NASCAR Modified Racing Career: 1992 NASCAR Modified Rookie of the Year. Third Place and Second Place Honors; 1992 and 1993 Points Standings respectively. Competed in 85 racing events.

NASCAR Late Model Racing Career: 1994 NASCAR Late Model Rookie of the Year. Second Place and Third Place Honors; 1994 and 1995 Points Standings respectively. 1995 NASCAR Northeast Region 9th Place Honors. Attended 1995 NASCAR champions Banquet in Nashville, TN. The 1996 season scored a fourth place finish, just twenty points short of the season championship. Nascar dirt late model champion in 1997 at both the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN, and the Madison Speedway in Madison MN. 1997 NASCAR Midwest Region top 10 Honors. Attended 1997 NASCAR Champions Banquet in Nashville, TN. Competed in 250 NASCAR sanctioned events throughout the Upper Midwest in four short years.

Occupation: ATRA Certified Automatic Transmission Rebuilder for Thoennes Transmissions, Alexandria, MN. Employee of ten years specializing in drive train technology. Successfully established Ricky’s Racing Engines in June, 1987. Built fourteen championship go-kart racing engines for eight race teams.

Goals: Throughout the 1998 racing season, I intend to position myself for the Hav-a-Tampa rookie of the year, along with a top ten finish in the Hav-a-Tampa point standings. This season will provide insight towards a future in Dirt Late Model racing with hopes of being a Hav-a-Tampa champion in the future.

Personal Data: After twelve competitive seasons in racing, I feel well positioned as a future professional driver in Dirt Late Model events. I have been involved with over twenty race teams and three professional racing schools in my young career. This has enabled me to develop in all aspects of the racing environment.
