1. Collect "responders" contact (e-mail address needs to be written clearly please) information
2. Make a list (need help with this) by name with city, which will be sent to local church (need contact info. from each-preferibly e-mail address) for prayer and follow-up.
3. List (name only) to be shared with prayer groups (e.g. Mom's In Touch), churches (contact info too), counselors, etc. that participated
4. "Responders" and "Follow-Up Helpers" will be continued to be contacted-networked (band's testimonies, growth & follow-up tips that already on website) with in general by syatp2004@hotmail.com in a regular basis, hopefully by month as time permits. Please e-mail any additional suggestions or even prayer requests on this continued follow-up.
Besides the plan (from last meeting) above, here are some additions after meeting (this past Tuesday) with Spencer:
We are asking for as many resources (Bibles, tracts, or any cool stuff) any youth pastors would like to "give away" as part of our Follow-Up at SYATP. I plan to give these at the "Follow-Up Table" (Jamie, how can I reserve one or I can just set-up one at the Coffee House), where I'll be stationed most of the event when "counselors" send any youth that "accepted Jesus" or anyone my way (I'll be playing board games as I wait with youth hanging out here). It'll be nice to have someone else here with me (preferibly a woman too would be helpful to "counsel" same sex youth).
5. send e-mails hopefully every week for the first 4-6 weeks as part of their "critical" first stage after accepting Christ. I might need help on this to individually answer personal e-mails.
6. after 6 weeks, I'm hoping to send additional "faithbuilding tips" (area events for continued fellowship) once a month for a year or so until the next event.
I'll be having Tim Mitchell (Morris volunteer) help me with some administrative stuff (putting on some data info and hopefully, get trained on e-mailing as I hope to pass down the "torch" with this). I'm always looking for other "willing" people too...
*follow-up will be strongly encouraged by "older Christians" (local church's job to recruit) to "make disciples" (not just decisions) through loving mentoring/discipling relationship building with these youth after the "party".
Below is a tentative outline on how our step by step follow-up will go.
