May 10, 2001: East Midtown Greenway (Minneapolis)

Join the group for a waliking tour along the eastern portion of the Minneapolis Midtown Greenway Trail, a recently developed rail corridor hiking and biking trail which travels along 29th Street in south Minneapolis.

If driving: From downtown Minneapolis, take Nicollet Avenue and proceed south to East 29th Street. Turn east (left) on East 29th Street and go east one block on East 29th Street to 1st Avenue South. Park on the street and meet at the corner of 1st Avenue South and East 29th Street.

If coming by public transit: Take Metro Transit route(s): 9. The closest bus service point appears to be the corner of 1st Avenue South and East 29th Street. Applicable Metro Transit Map

The group will reconvene at a nearby restaurant after the hike for dinner or dessert.
