Join the hiking group for a hike on the bluffline above the Minnesota River and its junction with the Mississippi River along the Big River Hiking/Biking/Rollerblading Trail We will meet in the parking lot of the river overlook/picnic grounds. Look for the 1930's WPA-style stonemasoned rock walls surrounding the picnic area.

If driving:From Minneapolis, on Highway 55, cross the Mendota bridge, and at the Highway 100/Highway 55 "Y", proceed on Highway 55 to the Highway 13 South intersection. Take Highway 13 South to its junction with Mendota Heights Road and "old" Highway 13 (If you go under the I-494 bridge, you have gone too far on Highway 13), and turn north (left) onto "old" Highway 13/Sibley Memorial Highway. About 1/8th mile north/northeast up "old" Highway 13, there is a parking lot, picnic area, and trailhead on the left (If you go under the Mendota Bridge, you have gone too far on "old" Highway 13).

If coming by public transit: Take Metro Transit route(s): 72S; 415 . The closest bus service point appears to be Pilot Knob Road and Mendota Heights Road. Applicable Metro Transit Map / Bus Schedule information
